Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at the appointed time. The first stop on today’s Beijing tour is Tian’anmen Square, which is the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the largest of its kind in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years.
Then, we move to the Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum or Imperial Palace. It was the largest and best-preserved ancient palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties. You will have a guided tour to admire the large-scale precious architecture and many valuable artifacts.
After lunch, head to the Temple of Heaven. Located in the southern part of Beijing, it has served as a complex of sacrificial building where Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.
Then, be guided to visit Beijing’s local folk residence in old Hutongs. There is an opportunity for you to take a rickshaw to explore the alleys to see the daily life of native Beijing people. Following your local expert guide, you will find another face of the city that is totally different from what you see on major streets. After the tour, get dropped off at your hotel.
