Imagine that you have a full day to spend with lovely pandas, will it be exciting for you? This One Day Private Chengdu Panda Volunteering Tour, you will take a high-speed train from Xian to Chengdu to have close interactions with lovely giant pandas in Dujiangyan Panda Center, you will experience a fantastic day with the loveliest creatures in the world, and in the late afternoon take a high-speed train back to Xian. It would be an exciting big day!
Highlights of this tour:
1. Prepare food and feed the lovely pandas at a very close distance.2. Watch a documentary about panda to know better of Panda’s life.
3. Clean panda’s room and sports places.
4. Post postcards with the panda postmark at the Panda State Post Office.
At around 05:30 am, our Xian driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby and transfer you to Xian North Station for your train D1913 /07:50-11:51 (or train with a similar schedule) to Chengdu.
Upon your arrival at Chengdu Train Station, our local English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up by holding a board with your name, and then transfer you to Dujiangyan Panda Center for volunteering. It’s a highlight trip for people who love pandas! Think of it, you will get a close interaction with the cutest creature in the world, NOT across the screen. Your guide will explain how to participate in the volunteer program and you will begin this special activity by shadowing a local expert panda keeper.
The main volunteering activities are as below:
- After changing into work clothes, clean the pandas’ rooms and activity sites and carry fresh bamboo under the guidance of the panda nursing staff.
- Visit the panda villa to learn about the habits of giant pandas.
- Have lunch at the panda base to enjoy the authentic local dishes.
- Watch a documentary to get further insight into pandas’ origin and tempers.
- Witness how the keepers take care of the pandas daily on the spot.
- Make steamed bread of corn for pandas.
- Get your Panda Volunteer Certificate.
After finishing the volunteering activity, you will be transferred back to the Chengdu Station for your return to Xian (D1950 /18:07-22:18 or a similar train). Upon your arrival at Xian Station, our local driver will pick you up and then escort you to your hotel.
NOTE: The volunteering fee is CNY700 / pax, please pay in cash when you arrive at the Panda Center. The volunteering activity needs reserved 1 week ahead of your visit date by using your passport. Please send a copy of your passport to your travel consultant for reservation.
