In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from your downtown hotel between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. The tour will start with the Banpo Museum, which was established in 1957 on the Banpo archaeological site, dating back approximately 6,000 years to the Neolithic Yangshao culture matrilineal clan settlement. Here, the scenes of our ancestors’ lives are reconstructed, providing insights into the unique burial practices and the simple yet sophisticated art of pottery making and painting during that period. Afterwards, on the way to Terracotta Warriors and Horses, you will pay a short visit to a Terracotta Figures Factory, where you will learn about the process of making figures.

After lunch, you will visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which was initiated by Qing Shi Huang (the First Emperor of Qin) at the age of 13 when he ascended the throne, and it involved the labor of nearly 720,000 people over a construction period spanning 38 years. The mausoleum complex remained incomplete until the death of Qin Shi Huang. Here, you can admire thousands of clay figurines of soldiers, each characterized by distinct facial features, hairstyles, postures, and expressions. This site is acclaimed as “one of the great discoveries in the archaeology of the 20th century.” After the exploration, you will have a glimpse of Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum in the car.
Then, transfer you back downtown for the Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show. Upon arrival at the theater, you will have dumpling dinner at the dining hall. After that, you will move on to the performance hall to appreciate the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show, depicting the historical story of Empress Wu Zetian, who was selected as a palace attendant at the age of 14 and eventually ascended to the throne, reigning as emperor until the age of 67. The show will end at about 21:10.
After the show, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
