1 Day Terracotta Warriors & Hanyangling Museum Tour

After breakfast (8:00 – 9:00 am), your tour guide will pick you up from your downtown hotel. We will drive for about 1 hour to the first stop – the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Before visiting the museum, we will explore a Terracotta Figures Factory. Gain insights into the figure-making process, appreciate exquisite artworks, and consider souvenirs like mini warriors. Upon arrival at the Terracotta Army, you will enjoy a 2.5-hour exploration of the museum. It is the largest and most numerous group of ancient clay figurines in the world. Built around 210 BCE, they were created as part of the funerary art for Emperor Qin Shi Huang after he unified China. The Terracotta Army includes infantry, cavalry, chariots, and generals, vividly portraying the grandeur and exquisite artistic skill of ancient armies. These figurines were crafted to reflect the actual composition and organization of the historical military forces, making them of immense historical and archaeological value.

In the afternoon, we will head to the famous Hanyangling Museum, located in Weicheng District, Xianyang City, to the north of Xi’an. It is the joint burial site of Emperor Jing of Han, Liu Qi (188-141 BCE), and Queen Wang. The underground museum within the scenic area is a highlight, using glass curtain walls and glass walkways to completely separate visitors from artifacts in two distinct temperature and humidity environments. Upon entering the burial passage, visitors can look down to see tens of thousands of artifacts, including various types of clay figurines such as soldier figurines and animal figurines. These figurines are only one-third the size of real people. Additionally, there are daily life items, chariots, and horse-driving equipment from that time.

After the tour, transfer you back to your hotel.
