1 Day Hukou Waterfall Tour from Xian

The Yellow River bed here suddenly shrinks from some 300 meters to around 50 meters, girdling the pools of the Yellow River water into a narrow gorge and rushing abruptly down from some 30 meters high into the gorge below, with the torrential water running along a water channel of some five kilometers long to the lower reaches. The watercourse looks a lot like the mouth of a pot hence the derivation of the name “Hukou” which means “mouth of a pot”. Hukou Waterfall is majestic and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, making it a nationally famous scenic spot. After the tour, you will be back at your Xian hotel around 9:00 pm.
