Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Guiyang Arrival
   Jiaxiu Tower, Qingyan Ancient Town

   Welcome to Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province, one of China's top summer resorts! Upon your arrival, the private local driver will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name. Then you will be transferred to your selected hotel for rest and relaxation.

   If you have energy, you can explore the city on your own. You are recommended to visit the Jiaxiu Tower. This is a landmark building in Guiyang, built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), situated on a huge stone in the Nanming River in the city center. It is a three-story wooden attic. The night view here is quite beautiful and a must see sight for visitors to Guiyang.

   You can also visit Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the four ancient towns in Guizhou, which is famous for its long history and strong cultural atmosphere. Because of the local geological conditions, Qingyan Ancient town is built entirely of stone. Visitors can see the spectacular wall built right on the cliffs with vast rocks, dividing the Qingyan into the Inner and Outer towns.

2. Day 2: Guiyang to Anshun Tour
   Marvel at the Largest Waterfall in Asia - Huangguoshu Waterfall

   Today, we will depart early from the hotel for a guided Guizhou tour to Huangguoshu Waterfall (around 2 hours).

   Your tour guide will lead you to Doupotang Waterfall first, located 1 km upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. With a height of 105 meters, it is the widest waterfall in the waterfall group. The amazing thing about this waterfall is that the cave to the left of the waterfall has a strange resonance when a huge flood passes by. Therefore, Doupotang Waterfall has another elegant name: Roaring Waterfall. After that, move on to Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, where you will catch the essence of karst landform, integrating mountains, water, forests, caves, roots, stones and waterfalls.

   

   At 77.8 meters high, 101 meters wide, the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall in the park is the largest in Asia. There are six viewing platforms, allowing visitors to appreciate the waterfall from above, below, front, back, left, and right. Put on a raincoat and walk into the Waterfall Cave to get up close and personal with the waterfall, which is something else. A visit to here would be an invigorating experience, never miss it when you travel to Guizhou.

3. Day 3: Guiyang to Kaili Tour
   Enjoy Welcome Rice Wine and Watch Traditional Miao Dance Performance

   After breakfast, you will be escorted for a 3-hour driving to Kaili to visit Langde Miao Village. It is well known for its traditional architecture and unique Miao culture and customs.

   You will enjoy welcome rice wine and watch a traditional Miao dance performance. Besides, wander the village and explore its stilted houses & winding alleys. You informative tour guide will introduce you to something special.

4. Day 4: Guizhou Miao Village Tour
   Visit Qianhu Miao Village for Traditional Miao Culture and Scenery

   Today, you will be transferred to Qianhu Miao Village, the largest Miao village in China.

   It is a picturesque place surrounded by green rice fields. Here visitors can fully experience the original Miao culture, including Miao songs and dances, language, architecture, art, silverware, clothing, and food, and enjoy the beautiful night view of the Xijiang River.

5. Day 5: Kaili to Libo Tour
   Tour Xiaoqikong for Picturesque Landscapes and Ethnic Culture

   After breakfast, check out your hotel. Then we will drive for 3.5 hours to Libo, a city located in southern Guizhou.

   Your first stop today will be Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. Located among karst peaks, the scenic spot is named after a bluestone bridge with seven arches across the Xiangshui River. The Seven Small Arches is a combination of mountains, water, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls. It looks beautiful and quiet, with strong customs of the Tujia and Yao ethnic groups.

   

   Entering through the east gate, take a battery car (included) to visit various scenic spots in the area, including the 68-level Waterfall, the Water Forest (a good place to take shots of the stunning scenery), Wolong Lake (a fairyland resembling Jiuzhaigou Valley), and Yuanyang Lake (two towering trees side by side in the lake).

   In the afternoon, you can visit the nearby villages (on your own) and learn about the local ethnic groups, such as the Miao, Buyi, and Yao.

6. Day 6: Libo to Guiyang Tour
   Explore Daqikong for Virgin Forests, Karst Canyons...

   After breakfast, your private Guizhou tour will continue to Daqikong, aka Big Seven Holes. This scenic spot is named after an ancient bridge with seven holes, 7 meters high, 4.5 meters wide and 35 meters long. The highlights here are virgin forests, underground rivers and karst canyons. You can explore the area by boat, while admiring the natural masterpieces of the region.

   

   Apart from that, Tiansheng Bridge is not to be missed. It is a natural giant rock, one of the wonders of karst landscape, 60 meters high and the bridge hole is more than 20 meters wide. When the river water flows over the bridge, it will form a big waterfall more than 2 meters high. Looking up under the bridge hole, visitors can also see giant stalactites hanging.

   In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell buffet dinner to celebrate the perfect end of your trip to Guizhou.

7. Day 7: Guiyang to Lijiang Tour by Flight
   Stroll along the Lijiang Old Town at Your Own Pace

   Today is your final day of this China tour in Guizhou. After breakfast, your private driver will escort you to the airport for your flight to Lijiang in Yunnan.

   Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy your free time exploring Lijiang Old Town. Aka Dayan Ancient Town, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the famous towns on the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Visit traditional Naxi courtyard houses and explore bustling bazaars.

8. Day 8: Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge Tour
   Hike China's Deepest Canyon and Learn How It Got the Name

   After breakfast, be guided to climb an ancient building, the highest point of the entire old town, and enjoy a panoramic view of Lijiang Old Town.

   In the afternoon, drive for 2 hours to Tiger Leaping Gorge, where you will enjoy imposing gorge scenery. One of the deepest gorges in the world, it measures 3,900 meters from the waters of the Jinsha River to the Haba Mountain. You will see the huge Tiger Leaping Rock. It is said that a tiger once leaped from one side of the gorge to the other with this rock. This's why the gorge is called "Tiger Leaping Gorge".

   After the visit, drive back to Lijiang in the evening.

9. Day 9: Lijiang to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Tour
   Ascend the Snow-capped Yulong Snow Mountain for the Magnificent View

   Today the Yunnan tour in Lijiang takes you on a mountain adventure. Get up early and drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for the magnificent snow view on this always-snow-capped mountain. It's the biggest snow mountain in the Northern Hemisphere with an altitude of over 4,000 meters. Before the tour, you will first enjoy the Impression Lijiang Ethnic Show directed by Zhang Yimou (a very famous director in China). It is held in Ganhaizi Meadow about 3,100 meters above sea level.

   

   Then, you will reach Ganhaizi Meadow. Then take a sightseeing bus to visit the Baishuihe River. Afterwards, take cable care to Glacier Park, hike to enjoy pristine snowscape, and then take a battery car to Blue Moon Valley where you will see pearl-like lakes scattering on the land and marvel at the great scenery here.

10. Day 10: Lijiang to Dali Tour
    Visit Bai Villages for Bai Unique Cultural Experiences

    After breakfast, drive for 2.5 hours to Dali.

    Upon arrival, meet your guide and be led to visit a Bai village to savor the Three-course Tea. This is a traditional drink of the Bai people, which is divided into three stages: bitter tea, sweet tea and reminiscent tea. Afterwards, transfer you to Zhoucheng to visit a tie-dye workshop to learn about the process of dye making and how it is done. After the experience, drive you to the hotel in Dali for check-in.

11. Day 11: Dali City Tour
    Leisurely Walk in Dali Old City and Take a Carriage through Xizhou Village

    Begin your today’s tour at the Three Pagodas in Chongshen Monastery, located northwest of Dali Ancient Town. Thousands of years ago, the pagodas were built to propagate Buddhism, so they hold significant historical and cultural value. Next is the highlight - Dali Old Town, where you can take a leisurely walk and immerse yourself in the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of the town.

    

    In the afternoon, enjoy a afternoon tea on a terrace in Xizhou Ancient Town. You will see Bai-style houses and beautiful countryside view. Then take a carriage ride through the countryside, take a walk by the Erhai Lake seaside, and capture the sunset.

12. Day 12: Dali to Kunming Tour
    Kunming Lake

    Say goodbye to Dali and take a high-speed train to Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province.

    The remainder of the day in Kunming is yours to spend as you wish. Dianchi Lake, known as the "Pearl of the Plateau," is highly recommended. Not only are there beautiful lakes and mountains here, but thousands of red-billed gulls in every winter. Have fun of feeding the seagulls with breadcrumbs (you can bring or buy).

13. Day 13: Kunming Tour
    Visit the Remarkable Karst Stone Forest and a Karst Cave

    Get picked up in the morning from your hotel lobby and then be transferred to the famous Stone Forest after about 2 hours of driving.

    Stone Forest, hailed the "First Wonder of the World," is a world-renowned karst landscape scenic area, with the Big Stone Forest, Small Stone Forest, and three other areas. You will see various stone formations such as stone peaks, columns, stalactites, and stalagmites on this vast land. Each rock has its unique posture and story. Strolling through it feels like entering a forest of stone.

    

    After that, go to visit Jiuxiang Caves. This is a series of caves located on the outskirts of Kunming, formed by strong karst processes. The accumulation of calcareous deposits in caves is the crystallization of calcium carbonate precipitation. Under the illumination of the light, these stalactites reflect brilliant colors.

14. Day 14: Kunming Departure
