Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Chengdu – Xian by Bullet Train
   Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square, Muslim Quarter (No meal)

   In the morning at 07:30, your driver in Chengdu will meet you in the hotel lobby and transfer you to Chengdu East Railway Station for the train to Xian. Please get off at Xian North Railway Station. The Xian local guide will greet you at the exit by holding a welcome board with your name.

   Lunch will be at your own expense (please feel free to ask your guide for suggestions)

   In the afternoon, prepare to be transported back in time as we embark on a visit to the legendary Terracotta Warriors and Horses. This archaeological marvel, discovered by farmers in 1974, showcases the life-sized clay army built to accompany China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife. Our well-informed guide will unravel the mysteries surrounding this UNESCO World Heritage site, explaining the meticulous craftsmanship and historical significance of each intricately detailed soldier. After immersing yourself in ancient history, it's time to indulge in the local flavors. We'll take you to a carefully selected local restaurant for a delightful lunch. Experience the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Xian with a variety of regional dishes.

   

   After exploring the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, your itinerary continues to the Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square, providing an exterior glimpse of these iconic structures. Conclude your day at the vibrant Muslim Quarter, renowned as Xian's foremost food street. Delight in the lively atmosphere and diverse culinary offerings, immersing yourself in the rich flavors and cultural tapestry of this renowned area.

   After the visit, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Xian.

2. Day 2: Xian – Chengdu by Bullet Train
   City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Lunch)

   Begin your adventure by immersing yourself in the rich history of Xi'an at the Ancient City Wall. After a comfortable transfer to the site, you'll have the option to add a touch of adventure by renting a bike to ride around the well-preserved wall. This optional cycling experience offers a unique perspective of the city, allowing you to soak in the ancient charm while enjoying the breeze. The Ancient City Wall, built during the Ming Dynasty, stands as a testament to Xi'an's past grandeur. Its imposing structure, adorned with watchtowers and gates, provides a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. As you stroll along the wall or cycle atop it, take in the architectural marvels and imagine the centuries of history that unfolded within these fortified walls.

   

   Your journey continues to the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda. A short transfer will bring you to this renowned Buddhist pagoda, standing tall and elegant against the Xi'an skyline. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, originally built in the Tang Dynasty, is not only a religious symbol but also an architectural masterpiece. Explore the pagoda's intricate design and learn about its history as a repository for Buddhist scriptures brought from India by the famous monk Xuanzang. The surrounding gardens offer a peaceful retreat, allowing you to reflect on the spiritual significance of this ancient structure.

   After lunch, you will be escorted back to Xian North Train Station for the return train back to Chengdu. Please get off the train at Chengdu East Railway Station. Your driver in Chengdu will meet you at the exit and transfer you back to your Chengdu hotel.
