- Day 1: Harbin Arrival & Harbin TourEnjoy Yourself at the Grand Ice and Snow Festival
Upon your arrival at Harbin airport/train station (please arrive before 10:00 am), our English-speaking tour guide and driver will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name.
Your tour in Harbin begins with the Tiger Park which is a northeast tiger breeding and research center. 700+ Siberian tigers live there. And 100+ Siberian tigers and lions are open to the public. You will see tigers in different life stages and learn about the current living situation of Siberian tigers in China.
Later, transfer to Sun Island to join the International Snow Sculpture Expo, which is one of the highlights of the annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. You can enjoy a large number of realistic and stunning snow sculptures in different attention areas. In addition, you could experience entertainment activities such as slides and snow off-road vehicles (at an additional cost).
Friendly Tip: You also can take a cable car along the Songhua River to arrive at Sun Island Park. It is an optional choice to better enjoy the Songhua River view. If you would like to take it, just please pay in cash at the spot.
Sun Island Park Continue your Harbin tour to experience the best of the city - the Ice and Snow World. This event was created in 1999 and is open from Christmas to early March. Here you can enjoy beautiful ice and snow sculptures as well as spectacular ice castles. There are many entertainment programs in the Ice and Snow World, and you can climb up the ice castle, experience the world's longest ice slide, ice bikes, snowmobiles, and various other activities.
WARM TIP: It would be crowded in Ice and Snow World during the winter holidays or weekends. You may need to wait for a long time on the queue.

Today you will further visit the best of Harbin city. We will first take you to admire the Saint Sophia Church from the outside. Built in 1907, it is a typical Byzantine building with a huge green onion-head dome. Named the Architectural Art Museum of Harbin, St. Sophia Church showcases the history, culture, and architectural art of Harbin. Afterward, walk to Central Street, where you will see many Baroque-style European buildings and interesting ice and snow sculptures of different shapes.
St. Sophia Cathedral on Central Street Also, take a guided tour of the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum. Here you can see dinosaur fossils and animal specimens, as well as ancient ceramic pots, silver jewelry and jade, weapons, calligraphy and paintings, and other cultural relics unearthed in Heilongjiang Province. If you are lucky, you can also see temporary exhibitions, such as handicraft exhibitions.
Last, come to Hongbo Square, a super large comprehensive underground commerce center combining trading, dining, and entertainment. There is a landmark building at the center of the square, a glass house with a stainless steel ball on its top. Many famous brands have stores on the square. You can get some nice things here if you like.
