2 Days Luoyang Highlights Tour with Shaolin Temple & Longmen Grottoes

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Luoyang Arrival
   White Horse Temple, Shaolin Temple (Lunch)

   AM: The tour guide and the driver will meet you at Luoyang airport /train station. Transfer to visit the White Horse Temple. Established by Emperor Mingdi in the year 68 AD, it is the first Buddhist temple in China and enjoys the reputation of the No.1 Ancient Temple of China.

   Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant.

   

   PM: After lunch, we will move on to visit the Shaolin Temple which is well-known for the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts. You cannot wait for watching the Kongfu Show performance as the saying goes ‘All martial arts (gongfu) are from Shaolin. The Shaolin martial arts are an important part of the relics. Transfer back to your hotel afterwards.

   Accommodation: Hotel booked by your own

   Note: You are suggested to arrive Luoyang before 11:00 to ensure no rush for the rest tour.

   

2. Day 2: Luoyang Departure
   Longmen Grottoes (Lunch)

   AM: After your breakfast, the guide will meet you in the hotel lobby. Then transfer to visit the Longmen Grottoes, which is a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art more than 100,000 stone statues here, varying from 2-centimeter to 17.14-meter high, and extending for about 1,094 yards along both banks of Yi River.

   Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant.

   PM: Transfer to the railway station and board the train to the next destination. Your 2 days Luoyang tour ends here.
