There was once a famous Chinese geographer and traveler Xu Xiake from the Ming Dynasty said: “It is not worth seeing other mountains if you have been to the Five Great Mountains; it is not worth seeing the Five Great Mountains if you have been to Huangshan Mountain.” This is Xu Xiake’s experience after visiting Huangshan twice, and it is also the most common impression of Huangshan in the world.
This 2-day Yellow Mountain tour is exclusively about Mt. Huangshan. You will be picked up and dropped off from your hotel in Huangshan City’s downtown area. And the private transfer, English-speaking guide, entrance fee, and Chinese style lunch are included.

Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Mount Huangshan TourHike to See Precipitous Peaks and Pine Trees
At 08:00 am, the Huangshan tour guide and the driver will meet you in your hotel lobby and then you will be escorted to Mt. Huangshan, one of the top five famous mountains in China.
From the Yungu Cable Car station, follow your guide to take the cable car up to Beihai Scenic Area, where you can see many pine trees and strange rocks. After getting off the cable car, hike to Begin-to-Believe Peak to enjoy the sea of clouds, then walk to Dispelling Cloud Pavilion, where you will pass by the famous Black Tiger Pine. Upon arrival, overlook the beautiful scenery of the West Sea Grand Canyon. Continue walking deep into the canyon, admiring the towering rock peaks with thriving pine trees growing on them.
Passing through the first and second rings and returning usually takes about 3 hours. You can decide the hiking time according to your physical condition. If energy permits, you can spend about an hour admiring the sunset at Bright Summit (1840 meters/6102 feet) and visiting Flying-over Rock.
Note: From December to March, the West Sea Grand Canyon will be closed due to the heavy snow. We will adjust your itinerary if you are traveling during this period.
Yellow Mountain - Day 2: Hongcun Village Tour in Huangshan, DepartureWitness the Glorious Sunrise View over the Tellow Mountain
Get up at 6 o'clock and walk about 0.5km from Shilin (Lion Forest) Hotel to Refreshing Terrace to enjoy the spectacular sunrise of Mount Huangshan. Afterward, return to the hotel to enjoy breakfast. Continue your Yellow Mountain tour to the famous Monkey Watching the Sea, and Lion Peak (1690 meters/5544.6 feet). Then walk along the wooden path to Yungu Cable Car Station and take the cable car down the mountain. Your driver has been waiting for you at the foot of the mountain for a long time!
The last scenic spot of the Huangshan trip is Hongcun Village. It is reputed for its long history and nice natural environment. Covers an area of 19 square meters, the village can be dated back to the Song Dynasty 900 years ago. At present, there are 138 architectures from the Ming and the Qing Dynasties. In 2000, the village was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site. After the visit, transfer you back to your hotel.
