Wuyuan has some of the most beautiful villages in China in Jiangxi Province, located in the southeast of China. Wuyuan is also the birthplace of Huizhou culture, which has a large number of well-preserved ancient Huizhou buildings.
Our 2-day autumn tour of Wuyuan will take you to the unique wonders of the villages. During the harvest season (October to November), yellow corn and red chili peppers drying on rooftops create a unique landscape. Before heading to Wuyuan, you will explore the intricacies of ceramic art in the porcelain capital of Jingdezhen. Get your camera ready!

Welcome to Jingdezhen! Upon your arrival, you will begin your exploration of this fascinating city known for its rich porcelain culture. Start your day by visiting the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum. In this China’s only national ceramic culture themed 5A-level tourist attraction, you will not only enjoy the exquisite porcelain from the Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but learn how ancient Chinese porcelain was made.
Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum Continue your ceramic tour to Sanbao International Ceramic Art Village. This is one of the windows for international exchange of ceramic culture in Jingdezhen. This ceramic art village covers a total area of more than 14 acres and consists of three parts: creation space, living space and exhibition space. Here you will enjoy a wide variety of beautifully crafted works of art and learn about the innovative porcelain-making techniques used by contemporary ceramic artists.
After a day of exploring the porcelain culture, your guide will escort you to Wuyuan, a small county famous for its beautiful fall countryside scenery. The drive takes about one and a half hours. Upon arrival, check into your local hotel. Have a good rest.

Sanbao International Porcelain Art Village - Day 2: Wuyuan Tour & DepartureEnjoy the Vibrant Autumn Scenery of Huangling & Ancient Architecture
After breakfast, your guide will take you to visit three beautiful villages. First, we visit Huangling Village, a typical mountain village famous for its autumn scenery. During the bountiful fall season, the harvested crops such as corn and peppers form a gorgeous landscape on the roofs of the village, which attracts a lot of photographers to take pictures and create their works. In addition, the well-preserved ancient buildings here are also very distinctive.
Next, head to Xiaoqi Village, where most of the houses are built in the Qing Dynasty architectural style. The alleys in the village are paved with green stones and twisted. Stroll through this picturesque village and capture the typical Chinese rural style.
Likeng Village is an ancient village mainly inhabited by the Li family name (the second most populous family name in China), which has a history of nearly 1,000 years. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the village has well-preserved ancient buildings. Two mountain streams outside the village merge into a small river in the middle of the village. On both sides of the river are Hui-style houses built along the water. You will see stone and wooden arch bridges with different characteristics built on the river.
After the village tour, your guide will escort you to Wuyuan Railway Station to take the high speed train.
