1. Day 1: Xian to Luoyang Tour by Bullet Train
   Discover the Historical Gems from Grottoes to Museum

   At around 07:00 in the morning, a local driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby. Then, you will be transferred to North Xian Railway Station for a bullet train to Luoyang. Upon your arrival in Luoyang, meet by local guide holding a name board.

   Your guided Luoyang tour starts with a visit to a UNESCO World Heritage site - Longmen Grottoes. Carved into limestone cliffs, these ancient grottoes span over a thousand years of Chinese history, from the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty. You will marvel at thousands of statues of Buddha and Bodhisattvas, intricate carvings, and inscriptions that reflect the cultural and artistic richness of this historical treasure.

   

   After lunch (included in the itinerary), you will pay a visit to the Museum of Luoyang Eastern Zhou Royal Horse and Chariot Pits. The Eastern Zhou Dynasty is the last slivery dynasty in Chinese history. It is followed by the first feudal dynasty in Chinese history - the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC). The museum is built on the site of a large-scale accompanying pit of the imperial mausoleum. Here you will explore the secret of the imperial mausoleum and appreciate the exquisite cultural relics.

   The last stop of today is Luoyang Museum which is a historical museum of China and houses over 1,700 cultural and historical relics in 5 showrooms - a presentation of 5 different social development periods such as the Primitive Society, the Slavery Society, and the Feudal Society.

2. Day 2: Luoyang to Xian Tour by Bullet Train
   Watch a Wonderful Martial Art Performance

   Begin your day by meeting your driver and guide at the hotel at 09:00 after enjoying breakfast at your leisure. Embark on a 1-hour and 20-minute drive to the Shaolin Temple.

   Shaolin Temple was founded in 495 AD and is not only the birthplace of Zen Buddhism, but also Chinese Kung Fu. It is known as "the holy land of Kung Fu". The tour guide will take you to visit some major sites and explain the stories of the mountain gate, Heavenly King Hall, Bell Tower, etc. Pagoda Forest is a highlight of the scenic area.

   It has collected over 200 pagodas from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. This site is a graveyard for the departed eminent monks. Pagodas are of different shapes, heights, and arrangements, making them look like a forest, so the place got the name Pagoda Forest.

   

   After that, you will watch an exciting martial arts performance by the skilled Shaolin Temple monks. It lasts for 30 minutes around. The shows demonstrate various Shaolin Kung Fu styles, including Basic Skills, Power Skills, Combat Skills, and others.

   After finishing the tour in Luoyang, your guide will see you off at Luoyang Longmen Railway Station. You will take the bullet train back to Xian. When you return to Xian in the late afternoon, the local driver will pick you up from Xian North Train Station and transfer you back to the hotel in the Xi'an City area.
