Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Urumqi Arrival
Great welcome to Xinjiang to start your 3-day Urumqi private tour! Upon your arrival at Urumqi airport/train station, the local driver will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board. Driving around 40 minutes to the downtown hotel for you to check in. Free and easy on your own for the rest of the day.

At around 08:30, the English-speaking tour guide and the driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and your exploration will begin! The first site will be Heavenly Lake of Tianshan Mountain, formerly known as "Yaochi" (瑶池). The lake has an elevation of 1,910 meters and an area of 4.9 square kilometers.
It is surrounded by mountains, with snow peaks reflecting and spruce trees surrounding it. In addition to the natural scenery, the tour guide will explain myths and legends such as the Queen Mother of the West to you. If interested, you can enjoy an optional boat ride on the lake (at your own expense).
Heavenly Lake Afterward, drive back to Urumqi to visit the Xinjiang Regional Museum, an excellent place for tourists to learn about the history and culture of Xinjiang. It is rich in cultural relics, including precious silk fabrics, mummies, documents, etc. The tour guide will take you to visit five exhibition halls showcasing Xinjiang's treasures from the pre Qin period to the Qing Dynasty.
Later, go to Xinjiang International Bazaar to further enjoy the local culture. It's one of the bazaars with the largest scale in the world with a strong Islam flavor in its buildings. The bazaar diverse range of products, authentic local cuisine, and cultural performances.
