Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Nanning Arrival - Tongling Grand CanyonTongling Grand Canyon
Welcome to Nanning! Your guide and driver will pick you up upon arrival at Nanning Wuxu International Airport. The pick-up time is from 7:15 am to 10:30 am.
Then a 3.5 hours’ driving will take you to Tongling Grand Canyon. The canyon is 10km long and offers 5 ravines collecting dramatic waterfalls, underground rivers, karst caves with multicolored lights, cliff-hanging coffins, miraculous hanging stalactites, and thick virgin forest. You will enjoy the 188 meters high Tongling Waterfall which is the waterfall with highest drop in China.
Good to know: You’d better bring some snacks along since it’s a long drive from the airport to Tongling Grand Canyon.

Tongling Grand Canyon - Day 2: Detian WaterfallDetian Waterfall
Experience the ultimate sightseeing at Detian Waterfall today. Straddling the China-Vietnam border, Detian Waterfall is ranked as the largest transnational waterfall in Asia. Comprised of three levels, this is one of the most scenic and photogenic waterfalls with the towering karst peaks and trees as background. You can take a bamboo raft to admire the lower layer of the fall and feel the spray from the falls. There are several viewing platforms along the riverside, and your guide will lead you to admire the grand waterfall from different angles and distances and take some amazing photos from atop.
Drive about 2 hours to the Mingshi Village where you will be entertained with authentic dance performances from the local Zhuang group.

Detian Waterfall - Day 3: Mingshi Scenic Area - Nanning DepartureMingshi Scenic Area
Enjoy a leisure walk around the idyllic Mingshi Scenic Area after breakfast. Being a host of karst mountains, lazy river, limestone caves, rice terraces, ethnic minority buildings, etc., Mingshi Scenic Area is honored as “Little Guilin”, but sees much fewer tourists than Guilin. If rural life or photography is your style, Mingshi should be your paradise.
Then return to Nanning for departure (about 4 hours driving).
Some recommended activities to enjoy yourself in Mingshi Scenic Area:
1. There are several riding routes in Mingshi, you can rent a bike and enjoy leisure riding around the rustic scenes.
2. Admire the stunning waterscape and idyllic countryside on a bamboo raft. (takes about 1 hour)
3. Enjoy yourself in the swimming pool of your hotel.
