3-Day Guiyang City Tour with Huangguoshu Waterfall

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Guiyang Arrival
   Guiyang City Tour to Qianling Mountain Park & Landmark

   Welcome to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou! After arriving at the airport, your guide and driver will be waiting to pick you up. Then, they will escort you to a carefully selected hotel. After a short rest, your Guiyang city tour starts!

   The guide will lead you to Qianling Mountain Park. It was founded in 1957 and named after Qianling Mountain, the "First Mountain in Qiannan". The park consists of 6 scenic areas such as Hongfu Temple, Qianling Lake, and Sanling Bay, characterized by secluded mountains, dense forests, and clear lake water. Hongfu Temple is the largest Zen temple in Guizhou Province. Visit Buddhist temples and admire the Heavenly Kings statues, murals, and jade statues. You will also encounter playful macaques in the park. To save energy, take the cable car down the mountain.

   

   Next, we transfer back to city center to admire Jiaxiu Pavilion, a witness to the history of Guiyang. It is a three-storey ancient building. The pavilion has endured four hundred years of wind and rain, and still stands tall today, which is truly precious. Here you can see the panoramic view of the city and Nanming River.

2. Day 2: Huangguoshu Waterfall Tour
   Witness the Asia’s Largest Waterfall Up Close

   Today, you will take a Guizhou tour to Huangguoshu Waterfall. Doupotang Waterfall is the first stop, located around 1 km upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. With a height of 105 meters, it is the widest waterfall in the waterfall group. The amazing thing about this waterfall is that the cave to the left of the waterfall has a strange resonance when a huge flood passes by. After that, move on to Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, where you will see the essence of karst landform.

   At 77.8 meters high, 101 meters wide, the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall in the park is the largest in Asia. There are six viewing platforms, allowing visitors to appreciate the waterfall from above, below, front, back, left, and right. Put on a raincoat and walk into the Waterfall Cave to get up close and personal with the waterfall, which is something else.

   

   After the tour, your guide will transfer you to the hotel in Anshun.

3. Day 3: Departure from Guiyang
   Visit Stunning Karst Cave and Admire Stone Architecture

   After breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to visit the Dragon Palace Scenic Area. Marvel at the longest and most beautiful karst cave in the country. You will take a small boat trip to enter the palace, admiring the amazing stalactites, stalagmites, and underground streams... Also, you can see the Dragon Gate Waterfall plunging into the cave, which is a breathtaking view.

   

   After that, go to visit the Tianlong Tunpu Village, a fortified village with a history dating back over 600 years ago. It mainly features its stone architecture. The residences maintain stone constructions with wooden doors, windows, and pillars that have elaborate carvings on them. Besides, people who live in Tianlong Tunpu keep the traditional Chinese customs. There are various festivals and events throughout the year. At festivals, men perform folk plays and women wear embroidered shoes. Your guide will provide you with an insight into the unique Tunpu ethnic culture.

   

   Your guide and driver will escort you to the airport or train station in Guiyang.
