Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Shanghai – Jiuhuashan by Bullet TrainHuacheng Temple, Jiuhuashan Mountain
AM: At around 06:00, our Shanghai driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby by holding a board with your name and transfer you to Shanghai train station for your high speed train to Chizhou (G7084 /08:37-12:16 or other train from Shanghai to Chizhou). Upon your arrival at Chizhou train station, our local English speaking tour guide and driver will pick you up at the exit by holding a board with your name.
Noon: Lunch on your own.
PM: Escort you to Mountain Jiuhuashan. On this day, you will visit Huacheng Temple first. Huacheng Temple is the first temple built on the mountain. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Then you will move on to Flesh Palace, also called Jindizang Tower, the most sacred place on the mountain. According to legend, Jin Qiaojue, a prince of ancient Xinluo Kingdom, reached Mountain Jiuhuashan after arduous journey, practiced Buddhism there for 75 years and died at 99. Because his body didn’t rot after three years of his death, his followers called him the reincarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and built a tower to place his body. The first day ends here. Your driver and guide will take you to the hotel on the mountain for check in.

Jiuhuashan Mountain - Day 2: JiuhuashanJiuhuashan Mountain (B)
AM: At 08:30, your tour guide and driver will greet you at the hotel lobby, and then transfer you to the mountain again. On this day, you will visit Longevity Palace (Baisuigong Palace), Hall of Five Hundred Arhats, Zhiyuan Temple, Ancient Scripture Chanting Lectern, and Tiantai Temple. You will start with the five-storey Longevity Palace, which was built in Ming Dynasty. If you see it from a distance, it looks like a towering ancient castle which rises straight out of the ground. You will take round-way cable car to ascend to and descend from the palace. Next stop is Hall of Five Hundred Arhats, in which you will see five hundred arhats in different poses and with different expressions.
Noon: Lunch on your own.
PM: Then you will visit Zhiyuan Temple, the only palatial temple on the mountain, which consists of 9 individual buildings. It boasts a pleasant natural environment with pine forests and streams. Then you’ll take ropeway up and down Ancient Scripture Chanting Lectern, where Jindizang chanted Flower Ornament Scripture. If you are lucky enough, you may have a chance to see a sea of clouds after rain. Today’s tour will end with visiting Tiantai Temple, the highest temple on the mountain. Then, the driver and guide will take you back to the hotel on the mountain.

Jiuhuashan Longevity Palace - Day 3: Jiuhuashan – Shanghai by Bullet Train
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby and transfer you to Chizhou train station for your train back to Shanghai ( G7074 /08:43-12:35 or other train from Chizhou to Shanghai).
