3 Days Shanghai-Xian Tour by Train

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Shanghai-Xian by Overnight Train (Z92 18:55-09:16)

   Our Shanghai local driver will pick you up from hotel lobby by holding a board with your name and then transfer to train station to take the train from Shanghai to Xian. (we will book the train tickets for you and advise you the tickets details in advance).

   Accommodation: Overnight Train Shanghai-Xian

2. Day 2: Xian
   Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall (Breakfast + Lunch)

   AM: Upon arrival, our tour guide and driver greet you at train station by holding a sign. Then drive to your hotel and help you check in. After a short rest, we will visit  Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum. It is the twin of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Both the two pagodas are important witnesses for the history of Great Tang Dynasty. Small Wild Goose Pagoda attracts visitors with its special charms that it keeps quiet and peaceful in the bustling downtown area, has precious value on architecture and Chinese garden aesthetics.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: After lunch, you will come to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was originally built to hold Buddhist sutra and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back from India in Tang Dynasty, 652 A.D. And then Move to the Ancient City Wall. It is not only the unique and intact city wall that has survived today in China but also the largest and most complete system of defense.  Then you will be transferred back to hotel.

3. Day 3: Xian-Shanghai by Overnight Train
   Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Muslim Quarter, Bell and Drum Tower Square (Breakfast + Lunch)

   AM: After breakfast in the hotel you will be picked up from hotel lobby. Then drive to visit famous and must-be see spot Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Famed of the eighth miracle of the world, the marvelous excavations in different underground 3 vaults show a surprisingly high level craftsmanship in old days. More than 6600 warriors with different expressions from each other testified the greatest intelligence of the first emperor Qin. Nowadays, the opened 3-D circular-screen movie let you deeply know the historical background of Qin Dynasty while enjoying its mysterious and splendid.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: In the afternoon, we will come to the Muslim Quarter by yourself. And then visit the last spot- Bell and Drum Tower Square. Located in the center of Xi’an and used for timekeeping in old days. You can experience beating the drum. Last arrival at railway station and take train from Xian to Shanghai.

   Accommodation: Overnight Train

   

4. Day 4: Shanghai Arrival

   Upon arrival in Shanghai, our local driver will wait you at train station by holding a board with your name and transfer to your hotel.
