Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 1: Suzhou Arrival (No meal)

Upon your arrival in Suzhou train station / airport, our driver will meet you by holding the welcome board with your name. Then you will be escorted to hotel and please enjoy your free time in the rest of the day.

Day 2: Suzhou
Humble Administrator Garden, Suzhou Museum, Boat Ride on Grand Canal, Tiger Hill, Pingjiang Road (Lunch)

AM: At 08:30 our guide and driver will greet you in your hotel lobby by holding the board with your name. After hotel pickup we will drive to visit Humble Administrator Garden. It is a typical ancient Chinese style garden in southern China. In 1509 of the Ming Dynasty, the central government officer Wang Xianchen retreated from politics. After his retirement, he spent 16 years to construct the garden for his later life. After lunch you will visit the Silk Museum to learn about the Chinese silk culture and appreciate some exquisite silk artworks. After that you will visit the Suzhou Museum to learn about the past of the local area and appreciate some precious and delicate cultural relics.

Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.

PM: Then you will take a boat and cruise along the Grand Canal to Tiger Hill. Though the hill is not large in scale and has an altitude of only 30+ meters, it is the highlight cultural and natural scenery in Suzhou. At last drive back to city area and take a walk in along Pingjiang Road and surrounding areas in Old City Area. During your walking, you will meet the well preserved old style folk houses, shops, the zigzag narrow canals, the local vegetable market, etc.

Humble Administrator’s Garden
Day 3: Suzhou Departure
Lingering Garden (Lunch)

AM: In the morning, our guide will wait you in your hotel lobby at confirmed time. First we will drive to visit Lingering Garden. It was originally built in the Ming Dynasty as a private garden by Xu Taishi, a retired officer from the central government. The garden consists of four parts: east part for architecture complex, middle part for garden, west part for artificial mountains, and north part for rurality. After then you will make a stop at a local tea house to try the most important Chinese drink – tea. At the same time you will appreciate the city’s most famous art-form: Pingtan.

Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.

PM: After the visiting you will be escorted to train station /airport for departure.
