It is no exaggeration to say that this is an absolute archaeological marvel where you will see thousands of life-size clay soldiers, horses and chariots. The site was built over 2,000 years ago to accompany China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Incredibly, each soldier (about 8,000) displays a unique expression.
Terracotta Army Optional: If you are interested in making a small replica of the Terracotta Warriors, we are happy to arrange this for you. The making time is about 1 hour and costs 90 RMB per person.
After lunch, we will return to downtown Xi'an to visit another city landmark - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At around 65 meters tall, the pagoda was built in 652 (in the Tang Dynasty) to store Buddhist scriptures brought back by Xuanzang from India. Afterwards, proceed to the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City, which is adjacent to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is like time travel when you stroll among the many Tang Dynasty style buildings.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda In the evening, your guide will take you to one of Xi'an's most famous restaurants for a sumptuous dinner, including Calabash Chicken, Hele Made of Buckwheat Flour, Small Hard Flour Pancake with chili, etc.
