- Day 1: Kunming Arrival to YuanyangImmerse Yourself in Wonderful Terrace Views
Arrive in Kunming by flight, also known as the “Spring City”, located in the center of Yunnan Province.
After arrival, the local driver and guide will drive 4.5 hours to take you to Yuanyang. Start your tour to Yuanyang from Yuanyang Rice Terrace, created by generations of Hani people.
Yuanyang Rice Terraces Yuanyang rice terraces are spectacular as they follow each other in layers according to the terrain. And this site mainly consists of 4 parts: Bada Rice Terrace, Laohuzui Rice Terrace, Doyishu Rice Terrace and Qingkou Rice Terrace. Different terraces have different charms, and these sceneries will bring you a novel experience.
Upon reaching Yuanyang, your first destination is Xinjie Town. From there, embark on a short 45-minute hiking trip to Longshuba Rice Terrace. The rice terraces are full of colorful duckweed, mainly in red, green and yellow. Here enjoy the magnificent scenery and take unique photos here.
After the tour, you will be transferred to the hotel in Yuanyang to have a rest.

After breakfast, get ready to watch beautiful sunrise at Duoyishu Rice Terrace. Climb up to the viewpoint to enjoy the sun shining on the terraces with a golden glow. Also admire the picturesque scenery consisting of mountains, clouds as well as rice terraces. And you can find a suitable location to take amazing photos.
Admire the Amazing Sunrise View of Duoyishu Rice Terrace After sunrise, continue the Yuanyang tour to Aichun Village. On a clear day, you will see the terraces appear blue as they reflect the sky. Then, proceed to Azheke Village, a typical traditional Hani village. Entering the village, you will see many Hani dwellings shaped like mushrooms. And you will have the opportunity to visit one of the Hani families to learn about local culture.
Azheke Village In the afternoon, move to Bada Rice Terrace, the best location to watch the sunset. The terraces here are vast and the views are stunning. As the sun sets, the terraces shimmer in the setting sun, creating a magnificent view.
In the evening, the guide and driver will take you to the hotel.

Ethnic Market Bazaar On the way back to Kunming, you will have the opportunity to visit other primitive ethnic villages near Yuanyang. Discover these villages and experience the different cultures, traditions and lifestyles of the ethnic groups.
This is the end of your Yuanyang tour. Afterward, the driver will drive you back to Kunming for 5-6 hours. Upon arrival in Kunming, your driver will transfer you to the airport or train station continue your trip.
