3 Days Zhangjiajie Highlight Tour from Beijing by Air

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Beijing - Zhangjiajie by Flight (No Meal)

   The Beijing local driver will pick you up from hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport for flight to Zhangjiajie. When you arrive at Zhangjiajie Airport, the Zhangjiajie local driver will greet you at the exit of arrival hall by holding a name sign and transfer you to hotel. Before getting off the plane, please double check your belongings to ensure you have collected all your staff. The rest of the day is for your own arrangement. You will freely explore the city by yourself. If you need any suggestions on your free time, we will be very happy to help.

   Accommodation: Overnight in Zhangjiajie Area

2. Day 2: Zhangjiajie
   Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Bailong Elevator, Golden Whip Stream(B+L)

   AM: Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby in the morning and take you directly to Yuanjiajie, the inspiration for Hallelujah Mountain in the super famous movie Avatar. You can experience Bailong Elevator, the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. You will be amazed by the speed of the elevator, only 1 minute and 58 seconds up to Yuanjiajie. When you step out of the elevator, a magical landscape painting will unfold in front of you. The massive quartz-sandstone pillars are just towering over you or next to you.

   Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant.

   

   PM: After lunch, we will go to explore Tianzi Mountain. There is a saying that you will not want to see any other mountains after visiting Tianzi Mountain. One of the spectacular sights is the sea of clouds after rain if you are lucky. You will witness rugged rocks and a forest of stone peaks which looks like a group of warriors listening to orders. Then move on to Golden Whip Stream, one of the most beautiful sites in Zhangjiajie. The stream winds its way through the hills and valleys and got its name because of passing by the Golden Whip Rock. Just listen to the murmurs of the stream, stroll along the valley and stop to watch the fish swimming in the crystal clear water. After the whole day tour, the guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel for a good rest.

3. Day 3: Zhangjiajie Tour - Beijing by Flight
   Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, Tianmen Mountain (B+L)

   AM: After breakfast, meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby and check out as you will take flight back to Beijing directly after today’s tour. Please pack your belongings in advance. We will start the adventure with the longest and highest Glass Bridge in the world with a length of 430 meters. You can have a panoramic view of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon walking on the transparent glass floor. You may be scared to step on the bridge at first, but once you take the first step, you will enjoy the magnificent view of flying waterfalls, lush forests, running streams.

   Noon: After saying goodbye to the Glass Bridge, we will have lunch.

   PM: Head to Tianmen Mountain, famous for Tianmen Cave (which means a gate to the heaven in Chinese). You will take the 7,455-meter-long cable car up to the top of Tianmen Mountain for 28 minutes, appreciating the amazing scenery and taking photos of the coiling road of 99 turns on the way. Then you will explore the mountain, walk on the thrilling glass skywalk hanging on the cliff and visit Tianmen Mountain Temple which was built in the Tang Dynasty and became the center of Buddhism activities in western Hunan. Next get to Tianmen Cave, a natural water-eroded cave with the highest elevation in the world. From ancient to modern times, numerous people from emperors to normal people come here to pray for blessings. You can conquer the 999 steps to Tianmen Cave and enjoy the wonderful scenery from above.

   After the tour, get on the car to the airport for flight to Beijing. Upon arrival in Beijing, the driver will wait for you at the exit of arrival hall by holding a name sign and transfer to your hotel.
