Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie

   Welcome to Zhangjiajie, where you can visit Hallelujah Mountain from the movie Avatar! When you arrive at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, the local driver will greet you at the exit of the Arrival Hall by holding a name sign and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you.

   Recommended Activity: Xibu Street is a great place for a stroll. It is the most famous commercial pedestrian street in Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie. Here, you can find shopping street, bar street, snack street, inn street and so on. The stilted building complexes here are built by the river. You can feel the strong Tujia flavor and enjoy the night view.

2. Day 2: Tianzi Mountain & Yuanjiajie Tour
   Experience Scenic Wonders and Natural Beauty throughout the Day

   After breakfast, your 3-day Zhangjiajie trip begins at Tianzi Mountain Scenic Spot, known as the “expanded bonsai, shrinking fairyland”. The sea of clouds, moonlight, sunrise and winter snow are the four major landscapes here. You will take a sightseeing bus up the mountain to explore the wonders of this scenic area - the clouds surrounded by strange rocky peaks like pillars, towers, as well as a huge rock wall over 20 kilometers long and up to a height of 1,000 meters. After the tour, you will be taken down the mountain by cable car.

   

   Then, you will be transferred to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to visit Yuanjiajie, where you will experience the Bailong Elevator. It is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the “highest outdoor elevator”. The elevator runs at a height of 326 meters and takes about 66 seconds to reach the top. Afterwards, you will see the “Hallelujah Mountain”, which was levitated in Avatar.

   The last stop is the Golden Whip Stream, named after the Golden Whip Rock it flows through. The stream is 7.5 kilometers long, and it takes about 2.5 hours to visit. With beautiful flowers and grasses along the stream, birds and warblers singing, walking along the clear stream is just like traveling in a painting.

3. Day 3: Zhangjiajie Departure
   A Leisurely Boat Trip on Baofeng Lake & Experience of the World's Longest Cable Car

   In the morning, your guide will lead you to Baofeng Lake, located in the heart of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Spot. This attraction combines mountains and water with folk customs, and is especially famous for its marvelous flat lakes, flying waterfalls, as well as mysterious ancient temples deep in the mountains. You will experience a boat trip to appreciate the beauty of nature from different angles.

   

   After that, transfer you to Tianmen Mountain. You will take the longest cable car in the world to the top of the mountain. The one-way ride takes about 28 minutes. Once you reach the top, you will be guided to experience some exhilarating attractions such as the Glass Skywalk and the Ghost Valley Plank Road, both of which are suspended above the cliffs. You will also visit Tianmen Mountain Temple, surrounded by ancient trees and a tranquil environment.

   Finally, descend to Tianmen Cave, the world's highest natural cave through the mountain, seeming like a door to heaven. You can conquer the 999 steps and enjoy the wonderful scenery from above. After the visit, you will be taken by sightseeing bus down the mountain along the 99 Bend Road - a scenic ring road.

   

   Your guide and driver will transfer you to catch your departure flight. This is the end of your 3-day Zhangjiajie private tour.

   Good to Know:

   In winter, Tianmen Cave and Ghost Valley Plank Road may be closed due to heavy snow or severely cold weather. Your private guide and consultant will adjust your itinerary accordingly.
