Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Beijing ArrivalMutianyu Great Wall, Dingling Tomb (Lunch)
AM: Upon your arrival in early morning, our guide and driver will pick you at train station or airport and begin the trip with the famous world’s heritage, Mutianyu Great Wall which enjoys the best scenery among all Great Wall sections in Beijing. If you want to reach the highest point, your guide will help you to buy the cable car tickets on spot (Cost for cable car on your own).
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
Mutianyu Great Wall PM: After lunch we will pay a visit to Dingling Tomb, (one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Imperial Mausoleums). Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Shenzong, Zhuyijun, who reigned the nation for 48 years as the longest-serving monarch among all Ming emperors. Following the expert guide to enter the undergound palace, you will learn not only the story of the tomb host, Ming Dynasty but also the mausoleum culture and “Feng Shui” culture.
After the whole tour, come to hotel for check-in.

Dingling Mausoleum - Day 2: Beijing – Xian by FlightTian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven(Breakfast + Lunch)
AM: Collected from your hotel by tour guide after breakfast, you will start today with Tiananmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years.
Walk through the Square and get to the entrance of Forbidden City, one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built of wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here.
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
PM:After lunch at a local restaurant, head to Temple of Heaven. Located at southern part of Beijing, it served as a complex of sacrificial building where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.
Finish the tour and get transferred to airport for flight to Xian. When arriving to Xian, meet the local driver at exit and you will be escorted to hotel for check-in.

Forbidden City - Day 3: XianTerra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Breakfast + Lunch)
AM: Please be ready at hotel lobby after breakfast. Then head to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. It was praised as “the eighth major miracle of the world” including Vault 1, 2 and 3 with the total area of 22,780 square meters, showing a surprisingly high level in sculpture.Terracotta Warriors, beyond the doubt, is the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. You will stay in the museum for 2-3 hours.
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
PM: After lunch at a locat restaurant, come to Big Wild Goose Pagoda housed by Daci’en Temple. It was originally built to hold Buddhist sutra and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back from India in Tang Dyansty, 652 A.D. Now there is a big square divided into North Square and South Square, surrounding the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The design of the buidlings and statues is in Tang style, showing people the ever glory of that great time.
After the tour, return to hotel.

Xian Terracotta Warriors and Horses - Day 4: Xian DepartureMuslim Quarter, Xian Ancient City Wall, Hanyangling Museum (Breakfast + Lunch)
AM: Get picked up from hotel lobby by the guide after breakfast and then go to visit Xian City Wall. It is the most completely preserved and the largest city wall in China. It was built for the military defense in the Ming Dynasty, 1370 A.D. Since it is cycling the Xian city, visitors can ride a bike around the city wall which is optional (cost on your own, CNY45p.p).
Then head to Muslim Quarter where you will find many special local products and authentic local snacks. You can enjoy preserved meat, casserole, various noodles, and purcahse some Terracotta Warriors imitation as souvenirs.
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
PM: After lunch, board the private car Hanyangling Museum which is the tomb of the fourth emperor Jingdi in the West Han Dynasty (202BC-8AD). It not only unveils the history of Han Dynasty but also introduce the imperial tomb culture of ancient China.
Finally, get dropped off at airport for departure flight after 20-mins driving.
