4 Days Xian Education Tour

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Xian Arrival

   Upon your arrival, our English-speaking tour guide will meet you at the airport by holding a welcome board with your name and then transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own

2. Day 2: Xian
   Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Small Wilde Goose Pagoda, Xian Museum, Chinese Calligraphy Learning, Muslim Quarter (Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner)

   In the morning at 08:30, our guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and start the tour with the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a marvel of ancient craftsmanship. Dating back to the Qin Dynasty, this archaeological wonder showcases thousands of life-sized terracotta soldiers and horses arranged in military formation. Follow your tour guide to explore the excavation pits, marvel at the intricacy of each statue, and gain insights into ancient Chinese history. The accompanying museum offers additional context and artifacts, making this site a captivating journey into the past.

   

   After lunch at a restaurant near the Terracotta Army, we will drive back to downtown Xian and visit Small Wide Goose Pagoda (closed each Tuesday), one of the two surviving buildings from the Tang Dynasty (618-907). In the scenic area, you will also visit the Xian Museum where you will have a glimpse of the city's history. Next, you will have a short Chinese Calligraphy Lesson and learn to write with a Chinese writing brush in the scenic area. At last, the guide will lead you to the Muslim Quarter to explore the famous and colorful food street in Xian. After the visit here you will be escorted back to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Xian
   Huxian County, Ancient City Wall (Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner)

   After a hearty breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel lobby. Today, you will head to Huxian County to feel country life and appreciate peasant paintings. When visiting a peasant family, the peasant painter will give a brief introduction to Huxian Peasant Painting and will show you how a peasant painting is created. In the paintings storeroom, you will see many finished paintings. Moreover, you will have a chance to see and participate in a short traditional Chinese-style Lion Dance in the village. There is an opportunity for you to visit the local primary school and talk with local pupils if your visit happens during the Chinese school term period.

   

   After that, we will drive back to Xian downtown and have lunch.

   In the afternoon, you will be guided to visit the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China - the Ancient City Wall. Your tour guide will introduce how it worked as an effective military defensive system in cold weapon times. After that, you will optionally ride a bike on the wall (cost on your own) to explore it for about 1 hour or wander on it freely. Going down from the City Wall, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

4. Day 4: Xian Departure

   Enjoy your leisurely breakfast. Then, the local driver will meet you at your hotel lobby on time (usually 2.5 hours ahead of your domestic flight time and 4 hours ahead of your international flight time), please prepare your luggage well in advance and board the car to the airport for your next destination.
