Welcome to our 4-day Haba Snow Mountain tour from Lijiang. Under the guidance of a professional guide, you will cross the primitive mountain forest and take a step deeper into the snow-covered mountains. When you overcome everything and reach the top of Haba Snow Mountain at an altitude of 5,396 meters (17703.4 ft), you can see a beautiful sea of clouds and magnificent snowy peaks. This is not a difficult climbing route, except for overcoming altitude sickness.

Day 1: Haba Village Arrival from Lijiang
Prepare the Climbing Equipment and Acclimatize to the Altitude

The tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Lijiang and then transfer you to Haba Village. Located at the western foot of Haba Snow Mountain, Haba is mainly inhabited by Naxi ethnic minorities. Acclimatize to the altitude of the area (your guesthouse at 2600 meters/8530 feet) and prepare the climbing equipment for tomorrow. Your professional guide will explain the precautions for climbing Haba Snow Mountain to you.

Day 2: Hike from Haba Village to The Base Camp
Trek through Pristine Alpine Forests and Meadows for 6-7 Hours
Today, you will climb 1,400m/4,593ft to reach the Base Camp at 4,000m above sea level. It will take 6-7 hours and the whole trek is about 15km long (9.3 miles). During the hike, you will pass through scenic pristine alpine forests and several meadows.

Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed at the halfway point. After arriving at the Base Camp, have a good rest in the hut or tent to recharge your energy for climbing the summit tomorrow.

1. If you want to save your energy to climb to the top of Haba Snow Mountain, we can arrange a horseback ride from Haba Village to the Base Camp for you (extra fee required).
2. If you experience altitude sickness or any discomfort during the journey, please inform your guide in time.

Day 3: Hike from Base Camp to The Summit, Back to Haba Village
Conquer Snowy Peaks, Enjoy Panoramic Mountain Views

Wake up early and have a simple breakfast before starting today's Haba Snow Mountain tour to the Summit. Leave your luggage at the Base Camp and travel lightly (just with climbing gear).

From the Base Camp to the Summit (5,396/17,703ft) of Haba Snow Mountain is about 5km, rising 1,400 meters. You will take a short break at Camp 1 (4,990m/16,371ft) to refresh yourself. The road from Camp 1 to the Summit is covered with snow and ice and it takes about 3 hours to trek.

Climb the Haba Snow Mountain

Along the way, you will be treated to beautiful views of Haba Snow Mountain and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. If the weather is fine, you will have the opportunity to capture the Sacred Mountains of Daocheng Yading with your camera.

After a picnic lunch at the top of the mountain, hike down back to Haba Village.

Today is the perfect end of your Haba Snow Mountain climbing tour. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Then you will be transferred back to Lijiang.
