4 Days Huangshan Winter Tour with Hot Spring

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Huangshan Arrival & Huangshan City Tour
   Learn about the Four Treasures of Chinese Study

   Upon your arrival at Huangshan airport / train station, the local English-speaking tour guide and the driver will be waiting for you at the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name.

   After lunch, your private guided Huangshan tour begins with Tunxi Ancient Street, China's most well-preserved ancient street combining the architectural styles of the Southern Song Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty. Just stroll on the street leisurely and appreciate the Hui-style buildings.

   Then we will visit Hu Kaiwen Ink-stick Factory which was founded by Hu Kaiwen in 1765 during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty to see how the ink stick is made. The ink stick is one of the four treasures of Chinese study (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper), and the best ink stick in China comes from Anhui Province, the home of Huangshan Mountain. After the visit, drive you to the hotel.

2. Day 2: Mount Huangshan Hike Tour
   Be Amazed by the Snow-capped Pine Trees

   After hotel breakfast, meet your guide and drive around 1 hour to the Yellow Mountain. Upon arrival, take the shuttle bus to Cloud Valley Temple and then take a cable car up the mountain.

   Be guided to hike to enjoy the beautiful scenery at the North Sea, Beginning-to-believe Peak, Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, and West Sea Valley. In winter in Huangshan, the snow scenery is one of the most fascinating landscapes. The branches and leaves of pine trees are covered with snowflakes, like blooming white flowers.

   There will be many staircases that go up and down, but all the tiredness of climbing will be gone when you see the breathtaking views. If you are still in good shape and time & weather permits, you can continue to Sky Sea Scenic Area to enjoy the gorgeous sunset at Bright Summit. Please do not watch your camera or phone while walking.

   Tonight you will stay at a hotel on the mountain so as to catch the sunrise the next day.

3. Day 3: Huangshan Hot Spring Tour
   Enjoy a Relaxing Hot Spring after Hiking

   If weather permits, you will get up in the early morning to witness the incredible sunrise. When the mountain is still sleeping under the starry sky, you will leave the hotel to occupy a vantage point and quietly wait for the thrilling moment. With the passage of time, the color of the sky will change slowly. The sun finally shows its head and the peaks are bathed in dazzling gold.

   After enjoying the sunrise, follow your guide to go back to the hotel and have breakfast. Then move on to explore Lion Peak which got its name from the look of a crouching lion. You will visit Dawn Pavilion and see an interesting rock called "Stone Monkey Watching Sea".

   Next, hop on a cable car and descend the mountain. Upon arrival at the exit of the mountain, there will be a driver to pick you up and transfer you to the Huangshan Hot Spring Scenic Area. The rest of today is free for you to explore the surroundings and enjoy a Hot Spring.

4. Day 4: Hongcun Village & Huangshan Departure
   Explore the Real Local Culture in Old Hongcun Village

   Today you will explore the real local culture in old villages. First, drive to Hongcun Village. More than 800-year-old Hongcun Village is a typical representative of Hui-style buildings, mainly in black, white, and grey colors. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. You will see many original residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties here.

   After the relaxing sightseeing, your 4-day private Huangshan trip ends here. Then you will be dropped off at Huangshan airport/train station for departure.
