Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Hohhot Arrival
   Road-Blocking Wine, Yellow Flower Valley, Aobao Meeting, A Bonfire Party

   Welcome to Hohhot! Upon your arrival at Hohhot Airport (please arrive before 10:30 am), your friendly guide and experienced driver will be waiting to greet you. From the airport, you will embark on a scenic drive to Huitengxile Grassland, a vast expanse of natural beauty known for its picturesque landscapes and rich Mongolian culture. As you arrive at the grassland, you'll be treated to the most grand ceremony - Road-Blocking Wine. And also enjoy yourself in the rolling hills, endless meadows, and the tranquil ambiance that surrounds you.

   Continuing your journey, you will drive to Yellow Flower Valley, an enchanting destination that offers a delightful 2-hour hike through its scenic trails. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the valley as you walk amidst blooming wildflowers and towering trees. The peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views make it a perfect escape from the bustling city life.

   

   Afterwards, you will be treated to a mesmerizing performance known as the Aobao Meeting. This traditional Mongolian ceremony showcases the local culture, featuring vibrant costumes, music, and dance. It is a wonderful opportunity to witness and appreciate the rich heritage of Inner Mongolia.

   To complete your authentic experience, you will attend a bonfire party and sing and dance with the locals and spend the night in a yurt, a traditional Mongolian dwelling. Inside the cozy yurt, you will find comfortable accommodations that offer a glimpse into the nomadic lifestyle of the region's inhabitants. Fall asleep under a starlit sky, surrounded by the serenity of the grassland.

2. Day 2: Hohhot - Dalad Banner
   Sunrise over Grassland, Horse Ride, Inner Mongolia Museum, Dazhao Monastery

   Rise and shine! On the second day of your itinerary, you'll have the unique opportunity to witness the magical sunrise over the grassland.

   After that, you can choose to participate in optional activities at the grassland. Saddle up for a memorable horseback riding experience, where you can gallop across the open plains, feeling the exhilaration of freedom and connection with nature. Alternatively, you may try your hand at archery, testing your accuracy and skill under the guidance of experienced instructors. These activities come at an additional cost, allowing you to tailor your experience to your preferences.

   

   Leaving the grassland behind, you will journey back to Hohhot to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Inner Mongolia. Your first stop will be the Inner Mongolia Museum, a prestigious institution that offers a comprehensive insight into the region's history, art, and culture. Marvel at the fascinating exhibits, including ancient artifacts, traditional costumes, and archaeological discoveries, all of which provide a deeper understanding of Inner Mongolia's heritage.

   Then, you will visit the renowned Dazhao Monastery. This Buddhist temple, dating back to the Ming dynasty, is a symbol of religious devotion and architectural grandeur. Admire the intricate details of the temple's design, from its colorful frescoes to the imposing statues of Buddha. Take a moment to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and witness the spiritual practices of the monks.

   As the day draws to a close, you will drive to Dalad Banner, where you will spend the night.

3. Day 3: Dalad Banner - Kubuqi
   Camel Ride or Desert Off-road Adventure, Desert Sunset

   After a satisfying breakfast, you will set out on an approximately 1.5-hour drive to Kubuqi Desert, one of China's largest and most beautiful deserts.

   Your desert adventure begins with a classic camel ride at Yemingsha (1 hour), allowing you to experience the traditional mode of transportation in this arid terrain. As you mount your trusty camel, you'll embark on a journey through the undulating dunes, immersing yourself in the serene beauty of the desert.

   

   For those seeking a more thrilling experience, an alternative option awaits. You can opt for an exciting 15 km desert off-road adventure. Feel the exhilaration as you conquer the dunes and soak in the breathtaking views surrounding you.

   Furthermore, the desert offers an array of optional activities to satisfy your adventurous spirit. You can try sand sliding and test your bravery with a zip-lining experience, soaring over the desert landscape and gaining a unique perspective from above. (at an additional cost)

4. Day 4: Kubuqi - Hohhot Departure

   The final day of your itinerary begins with an early wake-up call to witness the majestic desert sunrise. As the sun's first rays pierce through the horizon, painting the sky in a vibrant array of colors, you'll be captivated by the sheer beauty of this natural spectacle. Capture this unforgettable moment and create lasting memories of your time in the desert.

   

   After enjoying a delicious breakfast, drive to Hohhot airport at around 9:30 am, from where you can catch your onward flight. It is recommended that you book a flight departing after 14:30.
