Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa
Welcome to Lhasa in Tibet, the City of Sunlight. Upon your arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport, your guide and driver will meet you at the exit of the Arrival Hall and transfer you to your downtown hotel.
After check-in at your hotel, have a good rest to get acclimated to the high altitude. Don't take a shower to avoid catching a cold and remember to drink plenty of water.

- Day 2: Lhasa Highlights TourVisit the the Crown Jewels of Potala and Jokhang
After breakfast, your tour guide leads you to discover the cultural treasures of Lhasa. We will first visit the Potala Palace. Located in the center of Lhasa, Potala Palace is the largest and most complete ancient palace complex in Tibet. The entire palace has a distinct Tibetan style, built against the mountains, consisting of the White Palace, the Red Palace, and the affiliated buildings. The Potala Palace houses countless treasures and can be considered a temple of art.
Potala Palace Continue your cultural tour to the sacred Jokhang Temple, a center in the hearts of Tibetan Buddhist believers. This temple, Founded in the mid-7th century AD, features a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha at the age of twelve as its precious treasure. It is one of the must see attractions for tourists and those who go to worship. Taking photos is not allowed inside the chapels of the monasteries.
After that, stroll through the nearby Barkhor Street. Also known as Bajiao Street, the street has a history of more than 1300 years. Centered around the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street is the busiest commercial street in Lhasa.

Barkhor Street - Day 3: Lhasa TourExplore the Summer Palace for Successive Dalai Lama
In the morning, your tour guide takes you to visit the quiet and peaceful Norbulingka Park. This is a typical Tibetan-style garden established in the 18th century as the summer palace for successive Dalai Lama. After that, we go to Drepung Monastery, which is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Founded in 1416, this sprawling monastery houses exquisite carvings, solemn statues of Buddha, and a large number of Thangka paintings, embroidery, murals and other valuable art treasures.
Drepung Monastery At the end of today’s Lhasa tour, you will be transferred to Sera Monastery to witness the monks engaging in traditional debates. The temple houses tens of thousands of Vajra Buddha statues, mostly made locally in Tibet and many bronze statues brought from India.Also, you will enjoy a large number of colorful murals.

Enjoy the last moments of your 4-day Tibet tour with a leisurely morning (please check out from your hotel before 12:00 noon). At the agreed time, your driver will escort you to the airport for your onward flight.
