5 Days Classic Harbin to Yabuli and Snow Town Tour from Shanghai

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Shanghai to Harbin Tour by Flight

   Please make your own way from Shanghai to Harbin, taking a flight is the fastest and most suggested way. Upon your arrival at Harbin Taiping International Airport, there will be the local driver picking you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name, and drop you off at the local hotel. Free and easy on your own for the rest of the day.

   Recommended Activities: Zhaolin Park is the venue for the annual Harbin Winter Ice Lantern Show. Here, visitors will enjoy more than 200 pieces of ice sculptures and experience various rides such as ice slides, ice maze, spinning top on ice, and ice skating. Zhaolin Park is free of admission, every year starting around January 5 and continuing until the end of February.

2. Day 2: Harbin Ice Festival Tour
   Admire Great Snow Sculptures, Explore Illuminated Ice World

   After breakfast, your guided Harbin tour will officially begin! Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the world-famous Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo in the Sun Island Scenic Area. The annual snow expo lasts about two months, during which visitors will enjoy a variety of large-scale snow sculptures from Chinese and foreign artists, which are exquisite in appearance and have a strong sense of art.

   

   Next, we head to the Siberian Tiger Park adjacent to Sun Island. Covering an area of 360,000 square meters, it was established out of a desire to save and protect the world's endangered species, the Northeast Tiger. We will take a special sightseeing bus to enjoy the 30 wild tigers walking freely. Besides, you will also see white lions, leopards, lynx, and other treasured animals.

   After that, enjoy the relaxing sightseeing in the famous Central Street, a bustling pedestrian street in Harbin city. Walking along the street, you will find many old buildings designed in various Western styles in the early 1900s. Here, you will visit the Saint Sophia Church from the outside. Built in 1907, it is a typical Byzantine building with a huge green onion-head dome.

   

   After dinner, you will go to experience the magical Ice and Snow World, the highlight of our 5-day Harbin tour from Shanghai. The Harbin Ice Festival is recognized as the world's largest snow and ice theme park and is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is a winter wonderland illuminated by colorful LED lights and is open from Christmas to early March.

   Here you will enjoy beautiful ice and snow sculptures as well as a snow castle. When night falls, the ice lanterns are even more enchanting with their colorful lights. Various snow recreation programs such as ice slides, ice bikes, and Ferris wheels are waiting for you. At the end of the day, return to the hotel for a good rest.

   Tip: Be prepared for the longer queues during peak hours, especially during the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year and weekends.

3. Day 3: Harbin to Yabuli Ski Resort & Snow Town Tour
   Have a Thrilling Skiing and Relaxing Walk on Xueyun Street

   Today, after breakfast, we will drive for about 3.5 hours to the exciting Yabuli Ski Resort. Since its establishment, Yabuli Ski Resort has hosted several National Winter Games and has very complete facilities, including more than ten beginner, intermediate and advanced ski slopes. Among them, the 4th Ski Slope is the longest alpine ski slope in Asia.

   Upon arrival, follow your guide to fill your stomach at a local restaurant, then your skiing begins! The tour guide will help you to get the main entrance tickets and rent the basic ski equipment for you to ski at your own expense.

   Only skiing in the primary ski field is included in the current tour package, with a 3-hour skiing with equipment like skiing boots, snowboard, and ski poles. If you would like to have more time for skiing, please pay in cash on your own.

   

   In the late afternoon, drive around 2.5 hours to Snow Town. About 280 kilometers away from Harbin, China Snow Village boasts 2-meter-thick snow from October to May. In the evening, you can stroll down Xueyun Street on your own to explore the bustling night market, enjoy relaxing walking, and taste some local snacks...

   Special note: China Snow Town is just a small village, and the hotels there won't be as good as those of in big cities.

   

4. Day 4: Snow Town Tour Back to Harbin
   Enjoy Your Free Time in Snow Town with Optional Activities

   This morning, enjoy your leisure time in Snow Town and take photos of many of your favorite landscapes. Some locations are chargeable, such as Yangcaoshan Hill and Dream House (optional, pay on your own). If you would like to go there, your guide will arrange it for you.

   Yangcaoshan Hill is the most beautiful place around Snow Town. It is named after the sparse trees and abundant grass on the mountaintop in this vast primitive forest. On the way to it, you will see beautiful white frost and misty pine trees.

   Dream House is a must-visit place for photography enthusiasts. This area is surrounded by thick snow and traditional wooden houses decorated with red lanterns. Every winter, snow falls on the eaves and roofs, forming various shapes of snow, some resembling mushrooms, clouds, and turtles. It looks particularly beautiful at night, so you are suggested to visit it the night before (on the third day).

5. Day 5: Harbin Departure

   Your 5-day Harbin winter tour from Shanghai comes to an end. According to the departure time of your flight or train, your driver will pick you up on time and escort you onto the plane or train to your next destination.
