- Day 1: Beijing Arrival
Ni Hao! Welcome to our 6-day Beijing to Zhangjiajie tour!
After arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport, a local private driver will pick you up at the exit of the Arrival Hall and then transfer you to the hotel in the city center. He will assist you in moving your heavy luggage and help you with check-in if you need. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.

Get up early in the morning and follow your guide to enjoy the nice morning time in the Temple of Heaven and see how local people spend their morning time in the square. Temple of Heaven was built for the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvests. You will marvel at the craftsmanship and learn more historical facts about ancient China.
Temple of Heaven After lunch, continue your Beijing tour to the famous Mutianyu Great Wall. It is currently the longest Great Wall in China, with an open section of about 2250 meters. With dense enemy buildings and magnificent scenery, Mutianyu is the most beautiful section. Many foreign leaders have visited Mutianyu for sightseeing. We will arrange for you to go up by cable car and then take a hike to enjoy the natural scenery. Of course, you can choose to hike up the Great Wall instead of the cable car ride. After descending from the Great Wall, drive back to the city center.
On the way back to the hotel, stop to have an exterior visit of the marvelous Bird's Nest and Water Cube, built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Walking around the outside of the building, take some pictures of the unique buildings.

Mutianyu Great Wall - Day 3: Beijing to Zhangjiajie Tour by FlightVisit the Vast Square and Grand Imperial Palace
Today is the day to explore highlights of the Beijing city! First, come to the largest city square in the world - Tian'anmen Square, which has a very important role in China's history. Wander around the square and learn about the rich history from your well-informed tour guide.
Next, walk for 10 minutes to the Forbidden City, once the royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved ancient wooden structures in the world, with more than 70 palaces and over 9,000 rooms. Walking into the grand and majestic complex, immerse yourself in China’s long history and marvel at this architectural masterpiece.
Forbidden City After lunch, spend your afternoon in the Summer Palace, the best place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty spent their summers. Here you will enjoy the amazing lake view, explore the exquisite long corridor, appreciate precious cultural relics, step on the elegant stone bridge, see high old trees, etc. You can enjoy an optional boat ride on the Kunming Lake (at your own expense).
Beijing Hutongs are full of history which attracts many worldwide tourists! Today your tour guide will take you to feel the charm of the hutongs in the Shichahai Scenic Area. Taking a rickshaw to ride along the ancient alleys, you will experience authentic old Beijing life and witness the blending of tradition and modernity.
At the end of the China tour in Beijing, you will be escorted to take an evening flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, a local driver will pick you up from the exit gate and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Have a good rest for tomorrow!

Summer Palace - Day 4: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park TourStunning Views & Bailong Elevator in Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie
Start your guided Zhangjiajie tour at Tianzi Mountain. There is a saying that you will not want to see any other mountains after visiting Tianzi Mountain. One of the spectacular sights is the sea of clouds after rain if you are lucky. You will witness rugged rocks and a forest of stone peaks which looks like a group of warriors listening to orders.
Floating Mountains in Zhangjiajie After that, continue to explore the Yuanjiajie in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - the first national forest park in China. Yuanjiajie Scenic Area is the inspiration for Hallelujah Mountain in the super famous movie Avatar. You also can experience the Bailong Elevator, the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. You will be amazed by the speed of the elevator, only 66 seconds up to the top. When you step out of the elevator, a magical landscape painting will unfold in front of you. The massive quartz-sandstone pillars are just towering over you or next to you.
Afterwards, move on to Golden Whip Stream, one of the most beautiful sites in Zhangjiajie. The stream winds its way through the hills and valleys and got its name because of passing by the Golden Whip Rock. Just listen to the murmurs of the stream, stroll along the valley, and stop to watch the fish swimming in the crystal-clear water.

Bailong Elevator, the highest outdoor elevator in the world - Day 5: Zhangjiajie Adventure TourChallenge to Walk on the World's Longest Transparent Glass Bridge
In the morning, follow your guide to explore the fantastic Yellow Dragon Cave. The cave is praised as an “all-round champion” by domestic and foreign geological authorities because it boasts the most complete and beautiful cave landscape with the largest scale. Appreciate the pointing stalagmites, take a boat to explore the deep underground river (the river is rich with second-class state-protected giant salamanders and translucent glass fish), and see the great stone fall and interesting stone monkeys of various shapes.
Yellow Dragon Cave After lunch, take the sightseeing bus to exit the forest park and drive around 40 minutes to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Challenge yourself at the longest and highest Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge in the world with a length of 430 meters. You can have a panoramic view of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon while walking on the transparent glass floor.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Day 6: Zhangjiajie DepartureExperience the Longest Cableway in the World for 28 Mins
After breakfast, follow your guide to explore another highlight of Zhangjiajie - the Tianmen Mountain National Park. Firstly, drive to the cableway base for you to take the cable car up to the top. With a length of 7445 meters, the Tianmen Mountain cableway is regarded as the longest cableway in the world. The one-way cable car ride takes about 28 minutes. The half-hour ride is an excellent chance to see the picturesque scenery of the mountain
Arriving at the mountain top, you will first visit Tianmen Temple. The temple was built in the Ming Dynasty and is the Buddhist activity center in the western Hunan Province.
Next, take a walk on the vertiginous Sky Walk built with transparent glass. For some people, it is a test of courage! Then, move to the Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Door Cave). This natural stone archway is 131.5 meters high and 57 meters wide. It will take about half an hour to walk up the cave through the 999 steps.
Last, take a shuttle bus down to the mountain foot by the 99-bend Road – the scenic round hill road. You'll be dropped off at Zhangjiajie Airport/train station for departure. Your 6-day Beijing Zhangjiajie tour comes to an end here.
