Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Guiyang Arrival

   Welcome to Guiyang to start our 6 days Guizhou tour! After arriving at the airport, a local driver had been waiting for you at the exit of the Arrival Hall. Then, he will escort you to a carefully selected hotel. If you arrive before noon, we can customize a half Guiyang city tour according to your interests.

   Of course, you can explore the city on your own. Jiaxiu Pavilion is recommended. 20 meters high with three stories for exhibition, it is the landmark of the city.

2. Day 2: Guiyang to Anshun Tour
   Marvel at the Largest Waterfall in Asia Up Close

   After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you and then drive for 2.5 hours to Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. Doupotang Waterfall is the first stop on your guided Guizhou tour, located around 1 km upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. With a height of 105 meters, it is the widest waterfall in the waterfall group. The amazing thing about this waterfall is that the cave to the left of the waterfall has a strange resonance when a huge flood passes by. After that, move on to Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, where you will see the essence of karst landform.

   

   At 77.8 meters high, 101 meters wide, the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall in the park is the largest one in Asia. There are six viewing platforms, allowing visitors to appreciate the waterfall from above, below, front, back, left, and right. Put on a raincoat and walk into the Waterfall Cave to get up close and personal with the waterfall, which is something else.

   After the tour, your guide will transfer you to the hotel in Anshun.

3. Day 3: Anshun to Kaili Tour
   Admire the Most Beautiful Karst Cave in Guizhou

   After breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to visit the Dragon Palace Scenic Area (1-hour drive). Marvel at the longest and most beautiful karst cave in the country. You will take a small boat trip to enter the palace, admiring the amazing stalactites, stalagmites, and underground streams... Also, you can see the Dragon Gate Waterfall plunging into the cave, which is a breathtaking view.

   

   Afterwards, you will be transferred to Qingyan Ancient Town. One of the four ancient towns in Guizhou, it is famous for its long history and strong cultural atmosphere. Because of the local geological conditions, the ancient town is built entirely of stone. Visitors can see the spectacular wall built right on the cliffs with vast rocks, dividing the Qingyan into the Inner and Outer towns. Strolling through narrow alleys, you can taste local specialty snacks offered by street vendors. Later in the day, we head to Kaili for an overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Guizhou Culture Tour
   Understand Miao Culture through Welcome Rice Wine & Wax Dyeing

   Today you will be taken on a Guizhou culture tour for Miao village exploration. In the morning, head to Langde Upper Miao Village. It is well known for its traditional architecture and unique Miao culture and customs.

   You will enjoy welcome rice wine and watch a traditional Miao dance performance. Besides, wander the village and explore its stilted houses & winding alleys. Your informative tour guide will introduce you to something special. If you're interested, you can experience the optional activities, such as catching fish in the fields and picking fresh vegetables.

   

   Afterward, transfer to another ethnic minority village called Matang Gejia Village. It is famous for its unique batik-making production. Wax dyeing is a traditional technique in Miao ethnic areas and also one of the national intangible cultural heritages. Walk into a local dyeing workshop and witness how white cloth turns into a blue hue, decorated with interesting patterns drawn with wax. You will make your own ancient art. After that, drive for 3 hours to the foot of Fanjing Mountain in Tongren City.

5. Day 5: Fanjingshan Tour
   Explore Mount Fanjing by Cable Car, Hike to Mushroom Stone, Golden Summit

   Today is dedicated to exploring the majestic Fanjingshan or Mount Fanjing, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival at the entrance, be guided to take a sightseeing bus to Yu'ao Station for the cable car.

   Catch the beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes during the 20-minute ride. Getting off the cable car, your Fanjingshan hike begins. Along the Forest Hiking Road, Hike for 45 minutes to a rock formation called Mushroom Stone. Resembling a mushroom, it is one of Guizhou's landmarks.

   

   Continue hiking for half an hour to reach the Golden Summit. It is really worth your hike as you will see the breathtaking scenery including the iconic Red Clouds Golden Summit from afar when stepping on the Old Golden Summit. Move to the sacred Cheng'en Temple, a Ming Dynasty temple that attracts a continuous stream of pilgrims. This has earned Fanjingshan Mountain the title of "one of Five Great Buddhist Temples in China".

   From there, challenge yourself with the steep and narrow steps, equipped with iron chains, leading to the Red Clouds Golden Summit, where you will see a giant stone column roots deeply in-ground, and splits into two parts on the top. A stone bridge is built to connect the two flats, enabling you a convenient visit to the two temples on either side of the flats. After the sightseeing, descend from the summit by taking the cable car and sightseeing bus to the Fanjingshan Scenic Area Exit. Your guide and driver will then accompany you to Jiangkou County in Tongren for the night.

6. Day 6: Departure from Tongren

   After breakfast, spend your last leisure time at the hotel. Your driver will escort you to Tongren Fenghuang Airport based on your flight. Believe this 6 days Guizhou tour will leave a deep impression on you. Have a good trip.
