6 Days Guizhou Cultural Tour with Mount Fanjing

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Guiyang

   Welcome to our 6-day Guizhou & Mount Fanjing Tour! Upon landing in Guiyang, you'll be welcomed by your guide and driver at the airport. They will then transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

   The rest of the day is at your leisure, and you can take the opportunity to explore Guiyang. A visit to Jiuxiu Pavilion is recommended for a stunning panoramic view of the city. Originally built in the Ming Dynasty, it stands on a huge rock in the Nanming River in the city. This three-story wooden tower is a must-visit attraction for tourists in Guiyang, especially for its captivating night view.

2. Day 2: Guiyang to Kaili
   Gaoyao Village, Shiqiao Village, Paper Making, Qingman Miao Village

   After breakfast, we will take a scenic car ride to Kaili. En route, stop at Gaoyao Village to marvel at the intricate terraced fields. Gaoyao Terraced Fields, one of China's ten most beautiful terraced fields, was created by the Miao ancestors based on the local geographical environment. Through their hard work, they depicted picturesque rural scenery. The terraced fields resemble a beautiful belt adorning the majestic mountains.

   Continue your journey to Shiqiao Village, which is known as the hometown of ancient paper making in China, with a rich history of white paper production. The village is renowned for its unique craftsmanship, and its products are sold both domestically and internationally. You will be arranged to experience the ancient art of paper making. Immerse yourself in the charm of traditional culture.

   

   After that, we will explore the captivating Qingman Miao Village, an ancient village with a history of over 600 years. One of the distinctive features of this village is that visitors

   who visit a household at will are likely to witness the entire process of traditional Miao clothing, from its creation to completion. Nowadays, Qingman Miao Village still retains ancient textiles, exquisite embroidery, ancient batik, and other Miao handicrafts. If you are interested, you can have a guide take you to learn.

3. Day 3: Cultural Exploration in Kaili
   Short-skirt Village, Batik-making Session, Miao Villages

   This morning, you will visit a Short-skirt Village. The women here wear short skirts, creating a light and graceful appearance, from which the village derives its name. The village features a unique architectural style, and its stilted houses are built against the hillsides, creating a picturesque and harmonious layout. Within the village, various traditional Miao cultural elements and customs are practiced, including Miao embroidery, Miao songs, Miao dances, and more.

   

   It provides an opportunity for you to delve into the history and culture of the Miao people and experience the authentic Miao way of life. You will participate in a batik-making session, where you'll create your own piece of art using traditional wax techniques, adding a personal touch to your cultural journey.

   After lunch, dive deeper into the Miao culture by visiting two other Miao villages. You can appreciate the intricate wooden buildings, enjoy traditional singing and dancing performances, and witness the daily customs that have been preserved for generations.

4. Day 4: Kaili to Zhenyuan
   Boat Trip, Zhenyuan Ancient Town

   After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zhenyuan, where you can experience the serene beauty of the Wuyang River with a leisurely cruise.

   Then, you will explore the well-preserved Zhenyuan Ancient Town, which is a famous historical and cultural city with a history of 2,000 years. Half of it is distributed on the mountains and half enters the water. The Wuyang River meanders through the entire town in an S-shape. You can ascend to vantage points for a bird's-eye view, capturing the essence of this historical town.

5. Day 5: Zhenyuan to Mt. Fanjing
   Mushroom Stone, Old Golden Summit, Red Clouds Golden Summit

   Today, we drive to Mt. Fanjing, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Fanjingshan, acclaimed as the "Roof of Guizhou," boasts unique high-mountain stone forest peaks, such as Mushroom Rock and Eagle Peak, showcasing the remarkable craftsmanship of nature. Additionally, Fanjing Mountain is a treasure trove of flora and fauna, with high forest coverage, diverse plant species, and rare animals like the Guizhou golden snub-nosed monkey.

   Upon arrival, begin your ascent with a sightseeing bus to Yu'ao Station, followed by a cable car ride, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Take a challenging yet rewarding hike to the Mushroom Stone, Old Golden Summit, and Red Clouds Golden Summit. Along the way, you will explore sacred Buddhist attractions and marvel at the breathtaking natural beauty.

   

   After the visit, descend the mountain via cable car and sightseeing bus, followed by a drive to a hot spring resort in Shiqian. Indulge in the soothing mineral water hot springs for a relaxing evening.

6. Day 6: Departure from Guiyang

   In the morning, enjoy your free time in the resort, taking advantage of the facilities and surroundings. Your driver will then escort you to the airport or train station, marking the end of your enriching journey through Guiyang and its surrounding regions.
