Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Xian Arrival (No Meal)

   Upon arrival in Xian, your guide and driver will warmly welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to settle in and relax. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

2. Day 2: Xian
   Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Banpo Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Qujiang Pool (Breakfast + Lunch)

   Start your day by exploring the well-known Terracotta Warriors, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. The site, located about 40 kilometers east of Xi'an, is a vast complex containing life-sized sculptures of soldiers, horses, and chariots that were buried with China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, over 2,000 years ago. Upon entering the museum, marvel at the sheer scale of the excavation pits and the meticulous craftsmanship of each warrior. Take your time to appreciate the details, as each soldier has unique facial expressions and poses. The accompanying museum offers insightful exhibits explaining the historical context and significance of this ancient army.

   After immersing yourself in the history of the Terracotta Warriors, go for a delicious lunch featuring local specialties.

   As you head back to downtown Xi'an, catch a glimpse of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum from the comfort of your van. While you won't explore the site in detail, it provides a fascinating preview of another remarkable historical site. Continue your journey to Banpo Museum, which showcases the remains of a Neolithic village dating back more than 6,000 years. The museum offers a glimpse into the daily lives, customs, and tools of the Banpo people. Stroll through the reconstructed houses and learn about the agricultural practices, pottery, and artifacts that provide insights into this ancient civilization.

3. Day 3: Xian
   Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, Muslim Quarter, Great Mosque, Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square (Breakfast + Lunch)

   After breakfast, you will be taken to the enchanting Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area. This ancient complex, surrounded by serene gardens, houses the delicate Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a masterpiece of Tang Dynasty architecture. Marvel at the intricate carvings and learn about its rich history. Take a stroll through the surrounding grounds, appreciating the tranquility and traditional Chinese architecture. Next, head to the Xian Museum located nearby. Immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of Xian through a diverse collection of artifacts, spanning centuries. From ancient calligraphy to imperial treasures, the museum provides a captivating glimpse into the city's past. Allow yourself to be transported through time as you explore the various exhibits.

   In the afternoon, make your way to the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This imposing structure, originally built to house Buddhist scriptures brought from India, stands tall in the heart of the city. Ascend the pagoda for panoramic views of Xian and its surroundings. Explore the surrounding square and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere as locals and tourists alike gather in this historical area.

   Conclude your day at Qujiang Pool Park, a scenic retreat offering a blend of nature and history. 4. Day 4: Xian-Mt Huashan -Xian by Car
   Mt Huashan (Breakfast)

   In the morning, our English-speaking guide and driver will collect you from the hotel lobby at 8:00 am. A two-hour drive brings us to Mount Huashan. You'll board a shuttle bus to the North Cable Car Station, ascending to the North Peak via cable car. Along the way, the guide will share intriguing insights about the mountain. Upon reaching the North Peak, a personalized hiking route will be suggested based on your preferences. Enjoy free time exploring the peaks, and discovering Buddhist and Taoist temples, sculptures, and engravings.

   Prepare your lunch as there are no restaurants on the mountaintop. At around 5:00 pm, descend via North Peak cable car and shuttle bus, reuniting with the driver for the return journey to your hotel.

5. Day 5: Xian
   Xian City Wall, Yongxingfang Food Street, Daming Palace National Heritage Park, Shuyuanmen Ancient Cultural Street (Breakfast + Lunch)

   In the morning, meet your guide and then be transferred to visit Xian City Wall, a remarkable structure that has stood the test of time. You have the option to rent a bike and ride along the wall, providing a unique and picturesque view of the city. Feel the ancient vibes as you ride or stroll along the massive wall, taking in the panoramic views of Xian. Descend from the Ancient City Wall and head to Shuyuanmen Cultural Street. This vibrant street is known for its traditional architecture and charming atmosphere. Take a leisurely walk along the street, exploring the various shops, boutiques, and traditional tea houses. It's a great place to pick up some souvenirs or experience the local arts and crafts scene.

   Indulge in a delicious local lunch at one of the authentic restaurants near Shuyuanmen Cultural Street.

   After lunch, take a short drive to Daming Palace National Heritage Park. Immerse yourself in the rich history of Daming Palace, the imperial residence during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). This archaeological site provides a glimpse into the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty, offering visitors a chance to explore the ruins of the palace, halls, and gardens that once adorned this expansive complex. Learn about the cultural and political significance of Daming Palace, which served as the political center of the empire for over 220 years. The park features well-preserved foundations, exhibition halls, and multimedia displays that bring the history of the Tang Dynasty to life.
