7 Days Harbin & Snow Town Tour with Changbai Mountain

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Harbin

   Welcome to Harbin, the Ice City of China! Upon your arrival, your dedicated driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is left for you to have an exploration on your own.

   You are advised to watch the Ice Lantern Parade, which is held every winter in Zhaolin Park. On that occasion you will see a variety of creations carved by artists such as castles, walls, houses as well as a wealth of characters and cartoons. Apart from that, you can also experience fun programs such as ice slides, ice bumper cars and ice bikes.

2. Day 2: Harbin Highlights Tour
   Experience Snow Sculptures and Vibrant Ice World

   Your guided Harbin tour takes you to experience the best of the city - the Ice and Snow World. This event was created in 1999 and is open from Christmas to early March. Here you can enjoy beautiful ice and snow sculptures as well as spectacular ice castles. There are many entertainment programs in the Ice and Snow World, and you can climb up the ice castle, experience the world's longest ice slide, ice bikes, snowmobiles, ice rock climbing and various other activities.

   WARM TIP: It would be crowded in Ice and Snow World during the winter holidays or weekends. You may need to wait for a long time on the queue.

   

   Next, continue to Sun Island to join the International Snow Sculpture Expo, which is one of the highlights of the annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. You can enjoy a large number of realistic and stunning snow sculptures in different attention areas. In addition, you could experience entertainment activities such as slides and snow off-road vehicles (at an additional cost).

   After that, you will be transferred to the Siberian Tiger Park. It is a reserve dedicated to the breeding and protection of the Northeast Tiger, aiming to provide a suitable environment for the endangered tigers. You will see wild northeast tigers, white lions, leopards and so on.

   

   In the evening, head back to Central Street to take a leisurely stroll. Here you will see many Baroque-style European buildings and interesting ice and snow sculptures of different shapes. At night, the street transforms into a night market with various food stalls and local souvenirs.

3. Day 3: Harbin to Snow Town Tour
   Experience Festive Xueyun Street and Magnificent Snow-covered Forest

   After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and start your Harbin tour to China Snow Town, about 5-6 hours drive. Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel and have a short rest. Snow Town is a small village located in the southwest mountainous area of Hailin City. Snowfall is frequent in this area, of which the best time to visit Snow Town is between December and March, when the snow is the heaviest and thickest.

   Xueyun Street is the liveliest part of the town. This nearly 500-meter-long street is lined with stores, hanging red lanterns. You can try the project of pouring hot water into the sky, and then the hot water will immediately turn into ice! At night, Snow Town becomes a magical wonderland. The white snow reflects the soft light.

   

   In the late afternoon, go to visit Bangchui Hill. Walk along the wooden walkway to the observation deck where you can enjoy the magnificent snow-covered forest.

   Warm Tip: Snow Town is a small town, and the hotels there won't be as good as in big cities.

4. Day 4: Snow Town Tour to Dunhua
   Enjoy the Misty Pine Trees and Interesting Activities

   Start the day early to witness the sunrise over Yangcao Hill. It is the most beautiful place around Snow Town, named after the sparse trees and abundant grass on the mountaintop in this vast primitive forest. On the way to it, you will see beautiful white frost and misty pine trees.

   

   Next, enjoy a snowmobile riding on the vast expanse of snow. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, this activity is fun and exciting.

   Then, be guided to visit Jingpo Lake Ice Waterfall, along the way you will pass through Rime Avenue. Take photos of the amazing ice formations. Afterward, experience unique and authentic winter fishing. Observe how the locals catch fish in the frozen lake using traditional methods. In the late afternoon, say goodbye to China Snow Town and drive about 3.5 hours to Dunhua for your overnight stay.

5. Day 5: Dunhua to Erdaobaihe Town Tour
   Spend a Free Afternoon with the Options: Hot Spring, Ski Resort

   After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up at your accommodation and then escort you from Dunhua to Erdao Baihe Town, the gateway to Changbai Mountain. Upon arrival, you will spend the afternoon free and relaxing. We can offer you to enjoy the hot springs (extra charge, not included in this price). You can soothe your muscles and rejuvenate in the natural hot spring water.

   Alternatively, if you are an adventure lover, you can ski at one of the local ski resorts. Experience the thrill of sliding down the snow-covered slopes.

6. Day 6: Changbai Mountain Adventure Tour
   Explore Changbai Mountain's Snowy Wonders

   After breakfast, the Harbin tour to Changbai Mountain begins! Changbai Mountain, one of the ten most famous mountains in China, is one of the most popular destinations for winter tourism in China. The "powdery snow" gives the place a fairytale-like purity.

   Your guide will take you to visit the North Slope Scenic Area of Changbai Mountain. The main attraction is the Heavenly Lake, a volcanic crater at the top of the main peak of Changbai Mountain, where water has accumulated over the ages to form a lake. It is the highest and largest alpine lake in China and is covered with snow in winter. After that, move to Changbai Waterfall, a natural wonder - frozen waterfalls.

   

   Continue your visit to Green Deep Pool. In winter, the pool is filled with mist, which is beautifully integrated with the mountains and boulders. Finally, explore the Underground Forest, a wonder hidden under the snow.

   After the tour, you will be transferred back to Erdaobaihe.

7. Day 7: Departure from Changbaishan
   Take a Thrilling Raft Ride on Hot Spring

   Today is the last day of your 7-day Harbin tour. You will be guided to take a raft ride on the hot spring river, featuring beautiful rime landscapes. After that, be escorted to the airport for your next destination.

   Note: Rime usually forms at a specific temperature. Please check with your travel advisor before booking this tour.
