Hong Kong is the beginning of this 7 days China tour, where you can see breathtaking skyline and bustling streets. Then go to the metropolis of Shanghai to explore its modern wonders and historical sites, from the Yu Garden to the Bund.

The last stop is Beijing, which was once the capital of six dynasties. Here, you can discover both ancient and modern elements. A professional local guide will take you to visit world heritage sites (the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven). You will also delve into the lives of local people by visiting a family in the hutongs.

  1. Welcome to our China tour of 7 days from Hong Kong! Upon your arrival in Hong Kong, a local driver will pick you up and transfer you to your well-selected hotel. The rest of the day is left for you to explore this metropolis on your own.

  2. Start your escorted Hong Kong tour at the Victoria Peak, one of Hong Kong's premier tourist destinations, located at the highest point of the city. Its name comes from the Queen Victoria. You will take the Peak Tram to the observation deck at an altitude of 428 meters, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Hong Kong skyline.

    Next, move to Eastern Hawaii - the Repulse Bay. Located south of Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island, this is a great place to relax, with flat waves, fine sand, and warm seawater. There are many restaurants, fast food chains, and supermarkets around the beach. The tea house by the sea is a great place to enjoy the sunset. June to August is the busiest time and the best season for sightseeing in Repulse Bay.

    In the afternoon, go to visit Stanley Market. You can find handicrafts and artistic works including Chinese calligraphy art, paintings, silk products, and handmade jewelry. After exploring the market, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. (about 2.5 hours)

  3. After breakfast, your China tour in Shanghai takes you to Shanghai Museum. This museum is home to a collection of over 120,000 fine artifacts from all dynasties, featuring ancient bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy and paintings.

    Next, head to Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden in Jiangnan (the south of the Yangtze River). Covering an area of 2 hectares, Yu Garden has been in existence for more than 450 years. It was originally built by the owner as a place for his parents to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Adjacent to the garden is the Yuyuan Bazaar. You can taste local snacks and appreciate some traditional handicrafts.

    Then, transfer you to ascend Shanghai World Financial Center, the fourth tallest building in China. You will see the breathtaking skyline and a panoramic view of the city.

    Nanjing Road is one of Shanghai's calling cards and a must-see for tourists. Here you can experience the bustling commercial atmosphere, explore the rich history and culture, and sample the culinary delights. Last, take a stroll along the Bund, enjoying the architectural diversity and the night view of the Huangpu River. You can experience an optional activity - relaxing Huangpu River night cruise (at your own expense).

  4. Today is the last day of your Shanghai tour. In the morning, you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple first. The temple is named after the Jade Buddha that mainly enshrined in the temple. We mainly visit the Main Hall and the Jade Buddha Building. As one of the top ten attractions for Shanghai tours, it is a piece of pure land in the busy downtown.

    Next, go to explore a creative industry park - Tianzifang. It was converted from a Shikumen complex, where studios, galleries and cafes of artists and designers are gathered. Strolling through the alleys, you can enjoy various art exhibitions, handicrafts and creative decorations.

    In the afternoon, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Beijing.

  5. Meet your private tour guide and begin your China tour package in Beijing at the Tiananmen Square in the morning. Located in the city center, the square is one of the largest city squares in the world. It is a sacred site for major celebrations, grand gatherings, and foreign affairs receptions in China.

    Walk a short distance north along the center of Beijing's central axis to the Forbidden City, a royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. There are nearly 9,000 rooms, and your guide will take you to visit some important sites and tell you stories about what happened here. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1987.

    After lunch, we head to the Qing Dynasty royal garden - the Summer Palace. Located in the western suburbs of Beijing, it is the most well preserved imperial palace and garden in China. The entire park covers an area of 3.009 square kilometers, with water surface accounting for about three-quarters. To spend your leisurely afternoon, you can take a boat trip on Kunming Lake (for an additional fee).

    In the evening, you can choose to enjoy a superb Kung Fu show at Red Theater (optional, at your own expense). Chinese Kung Fu has a very wide influence in the world, and most foreigners know Kung Fu from Jackie Chen and Bruce Lee's films.

  6. Today is a highlight of your Beijing tour. After breakfast, you will be taken to the famous world's heritage Mutianyu Great Wall. It would be around 2 hours' driving.

    Mutianyu Great Wall is the most scenic part of China’s Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches for 5,400 meters. Ninety percent of the Mutianyu is covered by vegetation. So in each season, this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. We will take a cable car to the top. For down the Great Wall, there is an option of toboggan to see the spectacular scenery from different angles (on your own expense).

    Descending from the Great Wall, you will transfer to visit Ding Tomb, one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs. Admire its architectural beauty & historical significance. Drive back to Beijing, stopping to view the Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and the Water Cube from the outside. In the evening, you can enjoy the famous palace dish - the Peking Roast Duck at Quanjude Restaurant (optional, at additional cost).

  7. On the last day of the China tour in Beijing, you will visit another World Heritage site - the Temple of Heaven. Located in the southern part of Beijing, this magnificent royal structure served as a complex of sacrificial buildings where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.

    Later, take a rickshaw ride through Beijing hutongs. And also you will be guided to visit a local family house called Siheyuan and learn about their daily life.
