Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Xian Arrival

   Welcome to Xian, the ancient capital of the 13 Dynasties, for a 7-day in-depth Xian tour! When you arrive at Xi'an Airport, the local tour guide and the driver will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name. Drive around an hour to the Xi'an downtown hotel for a short rest. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

2. Day 2: Xian Terracotta Army Tour
   Marvel at the "Eighth Wonder of the World"

   Your guided Xian tour begins as your local guide warmly greets you in the hotel lobby. Head 1 hour towards the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and a must-visit of any China Xian tour. It is renowned as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" featuring life-sized warriors, and many horses and chariots. Your guide will lead you to visit the Pits 1, 2, and 3 of the Terracotta Army and explain the stories behind them to you.

   

   After lunch, your journey continues to the enchanting Huaqing Pool, where ancient Chinese emperors once sought relaxation. Explore the imperial hot spring bathing spot and learn about the love story between Emperor Xuanzong and his concubine Lady Yang. After that, take a scenic journey back to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Xian City Highlights Tour
   Tai Chi Class Learning and Enjoy a Night Tour

   Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Meet your local guide in the lobby and be escorted to the Xian Museum. The museum has collected numerous cultural relics from various eras in the Xi'an area, some of which were unearthed from important dynasties in Chinese history such as the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties, including many exquisite cultural relics. You can learn about the thousand year history and development of Xi'an as a capital. In this scenic area, you can also see the Small Wild Goose Pagoda.

   

   In the afternoon, visit the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a landmark of Xi'an. With 7 floors and a height of 64.517 meters, it was built to hold sutras and figurines of the Buddha that were brought to China from India by the Buddhist translator and traveler Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Also, you can attend a Tai Chi class on the South Square. Last, take a leisurely walk at the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City to appreciate the beautiful night views.

   After the night tour of Xian, your local guide will escort you back to the hotel.

4. Day 4: Xian to Mount Huashan Adventure by Car
   Enjoy a Huashan Mountain Hike with the Cable Car Rides

   After a hearty breakfast at 8:30 am, our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby. After about 2 hours of driving, we will arrive at Mount Huashan.

   First, we will take a cable car up the North Peak where you will start your hiking. The guide will leave you to freely explore the mountain. On the top of the mountain, there are several spots such as Taoist temples, sculptures, and engravings. You will enjoy yourself so much on the 4 peaks. After you reach the Gold Lock Pass, you can buy a golden lock and lock it on the iron chains. Visitors usually do this to pray for safety and health. It must be marvelous scenery with thousands of golden locks on the iron chains. On the Middle Peak (Jade Maiden Peak), you can immerse yourself in its supernatural atmosphere. It must be fantastic to watch the sunset with your own eyes if you are lucky.

   

   Then move on to the East Peak, the South Peak, and the West Peak. Breathe the fresh air on the Mount Huashan! Our tour guide will meet you at the North Peak and take the cable car to the foot of the mountain together.

   The lunch will be on your own since there is no restaurant on the mountain top. We would like to suggest you prepare some food and bottled water for the whole climb.

   Enjoy your free time on the mountain top. At about 5:00 PM, the driver will wait for you at the exit of the mountain and transfer you back to your hotel.

   • Check the weather conditions before the trip.
   • Dress accordingly - you need to wear comfortable shoes for the mountainous paths.
   • Don't forget your camera to capture the stunning moments.

5. Day 5: Xian Shadow Play Performance
   Enjoy Muslim Cuisine, Watch a Shadow Puppetry

   After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, your tour in Xian takes you to climb the Ancient City Wall, the best-preserved and largest city wall in China. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) for military defense. It provides invaluable materials for the research of the history and architecture of that period. You can optionally ride a bike on the top of the City Wall to see the city from a unique angle.

   Descend from the City Wall and head to the Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square. Marvel at the exterior of the Bell Tower, the landmark of Xian, located in the city center.

   

   Enjoy lunch at the renowned Muslim Quarter, a paradise for food lovers. Here, you can wander through narrow alleys and find many kinds of delicious local snacks such as Biang Biang Noodles, Roujiamo (Chinese Hamburger), Liangpi (Cold Skin Noodles), and Yangrou Paomo (Mutton and Bread Pieces in Soup). Your cultural Xian tour continues. Visit the Gao Family Courtyard, where you can watch a Shadow Play performance, a unique form of traditional Chinese puppetry. After the visit, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

6. Day 6: Xian to Yuanjiacun Tour
   Traditional Culture & Art Experience

   In the morning, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and start your Xian tour to Yuajiacun Village. Yuanjiacun is a traditional Chinese village covering an area of kilometers, consisting of a snack street, a Muslim street, a cultural street, a bar street, an art gallery, and more. The Qin opera performance here has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. You can taste authentic local cuisine or participate in cultural activities such as grinding noodles, weaving, making vinegar, grinding soybeans, and making tofu. From Xi’an, it takes about 1.5 hours by car to reach Yuanjia Village.

   

   Afterward, drive to visit a village in Huxian County to see the country scenery.

   Upon arrival, you will experience corn grinding by using a traditional mill, and learn about paper cutting, Chinese painting, or calligraphy according to your preference. That would be an interesting and impressive experience. Then you will be escorted back to the hotel in Xian.

7. Day 7: Xian Departure

   Take your time in the morning at your own pace. Our local driver will pick you up, based on your flight schedule, and escort you to the airport. End of your 7 days Xian in-depth culture tour.
