Your 7-day Yangtze River cruise and Zhangjiajie tour begins in Chongqing. Chongqing, also known as the "Mountain City", is located in the southwest of China, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and is the gateway for China Yangtze River cruise tours.
When you arrive at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, your driver will be waiting for you at the exit, holding a welcome sign. After meeting you, he will escort you to the downtown area. You can engage in activities on your own for the remaining day.

After the visit, have dinner and then go to Chaotianmen Dock to board your Yangtze River Cruise. Check-in time: 18:00 - 20:00.

Chaotianmen Dock - Day 2: Yangtze River CruiseStart with a Tai Chi Class and a Shore Excursion to Shibaozhai
After breakfast, the first activity on your Yangtze River cruise tour is a Tai Chi class on deck. Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial arts program. People can exercise their bodies and hearts through slow, continuous movements and breathing exercises. After that, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river.
We will disembark for a shore excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda. Known as one of the "Eight Strange Constructions of the World", the Shibaozhai is a wooden pagoda built on a cliff, dating back to the Qing Dynasty. It has 12 floors and is 56 meters high, without using a single nail. Climbing up to the top, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rivers.
Yangtze River Cruise Optional activity:
Fengdu Ghost City, with a history of nearly 2000 years, is one of the popular cultural landscapes on Yangtze River cruise tours. You will learn about many Chinese ghost and god legends. Every year on the third day of the third lunar month, the temple fair here holds unique folk performances.

Today, your ship will sail through the famous Three Gorges (including Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge). Enjoy towering peaks and lush vegetation along the riverbanks.
In Wushan County, Wu Gorge, we will change to a smaller boat to explore the narrower Shennv Creek. Here you can explore the most pristine valley. Also, you may experience the culture of the Tujia people through local music and dance performances.
After that, return to the ship for the Captain's Farewell Party in the evening, featuring music, dance and farewell toasts to celebrate the end of your Yangtze River cruise in a joyous atmosphere.

If you look for more exploration, consider a visit to White Emperor City. This scenic spot is famous for the story of Liu Bei entrusting his son to Zhuge Liang (a symbol of resourcefulness and wisdom in Chinese folklore). - Day 4: Yichang to Zhangjiajie TourVisit the World Engineering Miracle - Three Gorges Dam
After breakfast, say goodbye to the ship and disembark to visit Three Gorges Dam, an engineering miracle. It is the largest water conservancy hub project and the largest hydropower station in the world today. Standing on the dam crest, you can feel the magnificent white waves. If you visit on a sunny day, you may encounter a rainbow in the mist on the huge waves of flood discharge.

There will be a private driver to escort you to the station for your high-speed train to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, the local driver meets you and transfers you to your selected hotel. - Day 5: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park TourHike along the Golden Whip Creek and Experience the World's Longest Glass Bridge
In the morning, Your China tour in Zhangjiajie begins in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Here, we will take a cable car to Huangshi Village, which is the grandest and most beautiful observation deck in this forest park. Standing between cliffs and cliffs, surrounded by green trees, the top of the village is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round.
Next, we will head east and arrive at Jinbianxi (Golden Whip Stream) - a 7.5 kilometer long brook named after the Jinbian Rock it flows through. Strolling by the stream, you can enjoy the beautiful flowers and plants along the way, listen to the songs of birds, as if immersed in a flowing landscape painting, making people linger and forget to leave. The estimated visit time will take two and a half to three hours.

- Day 6: Zhangjiajie Natural TourAppreciating Real-life Floating Mountains from the Avatar Movie
Today, you will be guided to visit Yuanjiajie, where you will experience the exciting Bailong Elevator. It is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest outdoor elevator. The elevator runs at a height of 326 meters and takes about 66 seconds to reach the top. Afterwards, you will see the Hallelujah Mountain, which was levitated in Avatar.
Bailong Elevator Later, go to Tianzi Mountain Scenic Spot. The sea of clouds, moonlight, sunrise and winter snow are the four major landscapes here. You will take a sightseeing bus up the mountain to explore the wonders of this scenic area - the clouds surrounded by strange rocky peaks like pillars, towers, as well as a huge rock wall over 20 kilometers long and up to a height of 1,000 meters. After the tour, you will take the cable car down the mountain.

In the morning, transfer you to Tianmen Mountain. Take the 7,455-meter-long cable car up to the top of the mountain for 28 minutes. Then experience some thrilling attractions such as the Glass Skywalk and the Ghost Valley Plank Road, both of which are suspended above the cliffs. You will also visit Tianmen Mountain Temple.
Finally, descend to Tianmen Cave, the world's highest natural cave through the mountain, seeming like a door to heaven. You can hike up the 999 steps and enjoy the wonderful scenery from above. After the visit, you will be taken by sightseeing bus down the mountain along the 99 Bend Road.
