Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie

   Welcome to our well-designed 7-day Zhangjiajie and Guilin tour! Upon your arrival at Zhangjiajie Airport, the local driver will greet you at the exit of arrival hall by holding a name sign and transfer you to hotel. The rest of the day is for your own arrangement.

   You can freely explore the city by yourself. If you need any suggestions on your free time, we will be very happy to help you.

2. Day 2: Tianzi Mountain & Yuanjiajie Tour
   Enjoy Unique Rock Formations & A Thrilling Elevator Ride

   After breakfast, meet your tour guide and driver in the hotel lobby. They will take you to Tianzi Mountain, one of the four scenic spots in Wulingyuan. This scenic spot covers a total area of more than 5,400 hectares and its highest point, Tianzi Peak, is 4,142 feet (1,262.5 meters) above sea level. Take a sightseeing bus up to the mountain where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the strange peaks. He Long Park and Yu Bi Peak are the highlights of this scenic area. After the visit, take the cable car down the mountain.

   Next, transfer you to Yuanjiajie, located in the north of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is backed by rocky peaks and mountains, facing the valley peaks. The main attractions include the Mi Hun Tai (Enchanting Platform), the No.1 Bridge under Heaven, and Bailong Elevator.

   You will have a chance to experience the world's highest elevator with a vertical height difference of 335 meters. The scenic spot is where the movie Avatar Hallelujah Mountain was filmed.

3. Day 3: Tianmen Mountain & Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Tour
   Experience World's Longest Cableway, Sky Walk & Glass Bridge Views

   Today’s Zhangjiajie group tour takes you to Tianmen Mountain, characterized by typical karst mountainous terrain. You will be arranged to take a cable way up the mountain. With a total length of 7,455 meters and a height difference of 1,279 meters, the ropeway is the longest alpine passenger ropeway in the world.

   Upon arrival at the mountain, some highlights await you, such as the Sky Walk on the cliff, and the Tianmen Mountain Temple. After that, take the escalator through the mountain down to Tianmen Cave. With a height of 131.5 meters and a width of 57 meters, this cave is a rare high-altitude natural cave through the mountain in the world.

   

   In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, a landform museum of Zhangjiajie, that integrates mountains, rivers, and caves. Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is a big highlight of the Canyon. It is the longest and highest glass bridge in the world, with a length of 430 meters. When walking on the transparent glass, you can have a panoramic view of flying waterfalls, running streams, and lush forests. After the visit, you will be escorted to your downtown hotel for rest.

4. Day 4: Zhangjiajie to Guilin Tour by High-speed Train
   Reed Flute Cave's Stunning Formations and Historic Elephant Trunk Hill

   After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Zhangjiajie! Your driver will transfer you to Zhangjiajie railway station, and you will take a bullet train to Guilin, a city enjoying the reputation of "the best landscape in the world". Upon arrival, you will be met by the local driver and guide.

   Start your Guilin tour at Reed Flute Cave, which is acclaimed as the "Palace of Natural Arts". You will witness a lot of intricate and translucent stalactites, stalagmites, stone columns, and stone flowers. The entire cave resembles a grand and magnificent underground palace crafted from gems, coral, and jade.

   Then, go to Elephant Trunk Hill, which is named after it looks like an elephant drinking water in the river with its trunk. Since the Tang and Song dynasties, this scenic spot has been a famous tourist destination. It has a history of thousands of years. After the tour, escort you to the selected downtown hotel.

5. Day 5: Longji Rice Terraces Tour
   Hike the Breathtaking Rice Terraces & Learn about Local Culture

   Today, you will enjoy a day trip to rice terraces. After arrival at the foot of the mountain, you will walk about 35 minutes or so to the Ping'an Village. The village is home to the nationally renowned, 650-year-old Longji Rice Terraces. Your eyes will be treated to a spectacular view of the terraced fields, just like a cascading sea of green.

   The vast network of terraced rice paddies has been cultivated for generations by the Yao, Zhuang and other ethnic minorities, providing visitors with one of the most beautiful landscapes in China. The scenic area is particularly popular with recreational hikers and photographers.

   There are several ethnic minority villages scattered here. You will be led to visit a village of the Red Yao ethnic group, famous for the tradition of wearing long hair. Amazingly there are more than 60 women here with hair over 1 meter in length. If you are interested, you can pay extra to enjoy this village's unique long hair show (optional). After that, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

6. Day 6: Li River Cruise Tour to Yangshuo
   Enjoy a Scenic 4-hour Li River Cruise from Guilin

   In the morning, meet your tour guide and driver in your Guilin hotel at around 08:30 and then transfer to Mopanshan Dock of Li River to catch the cruise ship starting at 09:30.

   We will board a 3-star cruising ship and the whole Li River cruise lasts about 4-4.5 hours. During the cruise period, you will have a outer visit of the highlight sites in Guilin. Witness one of the most beautiful work by nature.

   Friendly tips: It is suggested that you have a hearty breakfast at the hotel and bring some snacks, as only a simple box lunch is provided on board.

   At about 13:30, the cruise will end in Yanshuo. The local driver will meet you at dock and transfer you to the must-go place - West Street. Take a walk in this 1,400-year-old street for about 1 hour to see lots of ancient style buildings, see local people's life and try some local food if you like.

7. Day 7: Departure from Guilin

   Today is your final day of this 7-day Zhangjiajie Guilin tour. You have the morning free to relax at your own pace.
