Beijing has a long history and splendid culture. It is one of the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, one of China’s four ancient capitals, and a city with the largest number of world cultural heritages in the world. The long history of the city gave birth to many places of interests such as the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Badaling Great Wall, Summer Palace, etc. This group day tour takes you to explore the world famous Badaling Great Wall and one of Ming Tombs: Dingling Tomb at cheap price. With professional guide, you will learn the profound history and culture of the sites and appreciate the fascinating scenery around the grand Great Wall.
AM: Around 6:30-7:30, the guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby (if your hotel is beyond the 2nd ring road of Beijing city, please come to the appointed downtown place to meet the group). The first stop is the underground palace of Dingling (one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Imperial Mausoleums). Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Shenzong, Zhuyijun, who reigned the nation for 48 years as the longest-serving monarch among all Ming emperors. We will stay about 1 hour here.
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
PM: After lunch, we will drive to the Badaling Great Wall, the most popular and accessible section of all the 5 sections in Beijing. Cable car is available and optional if you want to save time and get to the peak to have a bird eye’s view of the Great Wall (cost on your own).
Finally, finish the tour with hotel drop off.
