AM: At 09:00 our guide and driver will meet you in the hotel. Then you will be escorted to visit Leifeng Pagoda which was originally built in 975 by the local governor to celebrate his son’s birth. Now the pagoda is a symbol of Hangzhou City. It stands on the bank of the West Lake and is well known among all Chinese people due to the TV program Baishe Zhuan. Taking an elevator to the top of the pagoda, tourists could have an overlook of the West Lake.
Noon: Lunch at a local restaurant.
PM: We will continue to visit Hu Xueyuan Former Residence. Hu Xueyan is an achieved merchant & government official in the late Qing Dynasty. The residence’s construction was finished in 1872 and most parts of the residence were well preserved today. The residence would be followed by Qinghefang Old Street to explore the well-preserved ancient Chinese-style buildings and view the old appearance of Hangzhou City. The street is also a welcomed place for shopping, eating, and leisure among local people. After the tour drive back to your hotel at around 17:00. Your Hangzhou Cultural Day Tour ends here.
