The Terracotta Army site is not located within the urban area of Xi’an, and it takes about 1.5 hours by car from the city center. It is recommended to allocate 2-3 hours for your visit. Adjacent to the Terracotta Army is the famous Huaqing Palace scenic area, so a typical itinerary suggests allocating a full day, with half a day for visiting the Terracotta Army and the other half for Huaqing Palace.
