COVID-19 Updates in China

The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 22 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Fujian province, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Monday.

Up to now, there are 2 high-risk areas and 8 medium-risk areas in China, among which 2 high-risk areas and 7 medium-risk areas are in Fujian Province and 1 medium area is in Ruili, Yunnan Province.

No effect on the inter-provincial group tours of other provinces

Except for Fujian and Yunnan, tourism in other provinces and regions will not be affected. Visitors from provinces and regions that have unblocked inter-provincial travel won’t be banned to visit destinations except for Fujian and Yunnan.

Aksu in Xinjiang announced to cancel COVID screening for Shanghai Visitors 

Aksu in Xinjiang has announced to cancel COVID screening for visitors who has a sojourn history in Shanghai, while Urumqi still not. Overall, COVID containment measures of Xinjiang are loosening. Below are some updated information about some main regions for your reference.

Urumqi

Currently, travelers who once traveled or lived in Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province, Dehong Prefecture in Yunnan, Putian City in Fujian Province, Yuexiu District in Guangdong Province, Songjiang and Pudong New Area in Shanghai in the past 14 days need to be quarantined for 14 days after landing Urumqi.

Travelers who once traveled to other areas of Shanghai in the past 14 days need to carry out health monitoring at home for 14 days.

Kashgar

Travelers who once traveled or lived in Dehong Prefecture in Yunnan Province, Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province, Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province and Putian City in Fujian Province will be under medical observation for 14+7 days.

Travelers who once traveled or lived in Kaifeng City and Shangqiu City in Henan Province, Jingmen City in Hubei Province, Songjiang and Pudong New Area in Shanghai need to be under medical observation for 7+7 days.

Visitors from other low-risk areas can visit Kashgar by holding a green health code and itinerary code.

Aksu

Travelers who once traveled or lived in Dehong Prefecture in Yunnan Province need to be quarantined after reaching Aksu. Aksu has announced to cancel COVID screening for visitors who has a sojourn history in Shanghai. Visitors from other low-risk areas need to hold a Nucleic Acid Test result within 7 days.

Kanas Scenic Area

Travelers who once lived or traveled in Yangzhou in Jiangsu, Putian City in Fujian Province, and Dehong Prefecture in Yunnan within 14 days will not be accepted. Travelers from other low-risk areas need to hold a Nucleic Acid Test result within 7 days, travelers who have a a sojourn history in Guangzhou City need to hold a Nucleic Acid Test result within 3 days.
