At 08:30 am, our local guide and driver will greet you in your hotel and transfer you to Hongcun Village. On the way, the guide will give you background information about the local history and culture.
Hongcun Village is located at the southwest foot of Huangshan Mountain. It is reputed for its long history and nice natural environment. Covers an area of 19 square meters, the village can be dated back to the Song Dynasty 900 years ago. At present, there are 138 pieces of architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 2000, the village was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site.
After lunch, continue your one-day Huangshan tour to Xidi Village. Xidi Village was originally built in the Song Dynasty and reached its peak in the early Qing Dynasty. By now, the village has a history of 960 years. It has 300 families and over 1000 people. The beautiful landscape of the village earned it the name “village in picture.” Xidi Village is also a World Cultural Heritage site.
After the visit, you will be escorted back to the hotel in the Huangshan city area.
