Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Jiankou to Mutianyu Great Wall Hiking TourXizhaizi Village, Zhengbeilou Tower, Niujiaobian, Mutianyu Great Wall, Beigou Village

8:00 - 10:15
Your private tour guide and driver will be waiting for you in your hotel lobby at 8 am and transfer you to the foot of Jiankou Great Wall, Xizhazi Village (西栅子).
Note: We offer free pick-up service if your hotel is within the Fourth Ring Road. If your hotel is located outside the Fourth Ring Road, please go to the designated meeting place by yourself (your guide or travel consultant will inform you one day before departure).
Xizhazi Village 10:15 - 11:00
Climb the trail for 45 minutes to reach Zhengbeilou Tower (正北楼), the tallest tower on the Jiankou Great Wall. From there, you'll enjoy a breathtaking aerial perspective of the magnificent and curving Great Wall.
11:00 - 15:30
Following a brief rest, continue your journey, passing numerous ancient watchtowers and trekking through various ups and downs along the mountain ridges. Eventually, you will arrive at the most challenging and perilous section of the hike - Niujiaobian (牛角边). Please pay extra attention to the stones under your feet.
Niujiaobian Later, continue your hike to Mutianyu Great Wall to the east of Jiankou in about 1 hour. You will get a whole new view when you arrive at Mutianyu. There will be a sharp contrast to that of the Jiankou Great Wal - elegantly restored Great Wall and beacon towers. The hike at Mutianyu Great Wall is much easier.
We will hike from Tower No. 24 to No. 20, where you can overlook the spectacular Mutianyu Great Wall. Remember to take beautiful photos. Then hike down to Beigou Village (北沟村), along the way you will enjoy the fresh natural scenery. We arrive at the parking lot at about 15:30.
Note: Lunch should be arranged on your own. It is recommended that you pack a lunch box at the hotel in the morning.
Mutianyu Great Wall Hiking 15:30 - 17:30
You will be transferred to a certain place in Beijing downtown. If you need to catch a flight or train after this tour, we are happy to arrange transport to the airport/station for you (charging an extra).
