This 2-day Sanqing Mountain tour will take you to visit the classic sites here. Taking the cable car up and down will save you most of your energy. Follow your guide to visit attractions such as Immortal Drying Shoes and Yuhuang Peak. Explore the Taoist culture at Sanqing Fudi; walk on the high-altitude trails of the West Coast Scenic Area; and admire the oddly shaped rocks. If you’re here in late May, you’ll enjoy the mountains covered in azaleas.

- Day 1: Arrival & Sanqing Mountain West Part HikingExplore Peaks, Taoist Culture, and Sunset Views
Welcome to our 2-day Sanqing Mountain hiking tour! You can arrive by train at Yushan Southern Railway Station or fly to Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport, where your private guide will pick you up and then escort you directly to your hotel near Sanqing Mountain to check in.
After dropping off your luggage, you will be escorted to Sanqingshan Scenic Spot to take the Waishuangxi Cable Car up the mountain. You will first visit Immortal Drying Shoes, a granite rock formed by the effects of erosion and uneven collapse. Then hike upwards to Yuhuang Peak, the summit of which is as flat as a platform and can accommodate more than ten visitors. Here are ancient pines and pans, with deep valley cliffs below. Legend has it that the Jade Emperor's crown was shot down and the top of the crown flew down here and became a huge peak.
Immortal Drying Shoes Afterwards, you will come to one of the best scenic spots of Sanqing Mountain - Sanqing Fudi. It is known as China's open-air Taoist museum. Through the guide's explanation, you will learn about the Taoist culture and appreciate the Taoist ancient architectural complex. Sanqing Palace is the must-see attraction here.
After the tour, we will walk through the West Coast Scenic Area, which is the most open scenic area of Sanqing Mountain. The trail is the highest and longest alpine trestle in China. The West Coast has four major wonders including the high altitude trestle, the sea of clouds, the grand canyon, and the cluster of ancient and famous trees. You will have a chance to enjoy the sunset view here if the weather is clear. Finally, we take the Waishuangxi Cable Car down the mountain. Return to the hotel for a good rest.
Note: The entrance ticket for Sanqingshan is valid for 2 days. But you need to pay extra for each cable way ride.

Sanqing Palace - Day 2: Sanqing Mountain East Part Hiking & DepartureVisit a Natural Bonsai and See Uniquely Shaped Rocks
After breakfast, we first visit Wanshouyuan (Longevity Garden). This scenic spot is located at the southern foot of Sanqingshan Mountain, with the theme of auspiciousness and longevity. It is like a natural bonsai, where you will see landscapes such as Longevity Mountain, Sea Lion Swallowing the Moon, and Ping'an Bridge. Then hike to Azalea Valley. If you come in late May, you will see azaleas all over the mountains. Tent camping experience is available here for visitors so that they can enjoy the tranquility in the embrace of nature.
Azalea Valley Afterwards, you will enjoy some peculiarly shaped rocks, such as Python and Oriental Goddess. Located on the east side of Yuhuang Peak, Python is a huge python-shaped rock with a height of 120 meters and a circumference of more than 10 meters. It looks like a giant python with its head rising up between the valleys. The Oriental Goddess Rock looks like a dignified girl with long hair.
After the visit, hike along the Yuhuang Peak to the cable car station and take the cable car down the mountain. Your guide and driver will escort you to the train station or airport. This 2-day Sanqingshan Mountain hiking tour comes to an end.
