AM: Travel with us to Suzhou which is nearby Shanghai to witness the exquisite gardens and ancient architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Located in east China, the city is renowned for its elegant gardens, stone bridges, its network of rivers and canals. All classical gardens of Suzhou, like shining pearls, are a brilliant part of Chinese cultural heritage. You will visit one of the most famous gardens built in the Ming Dynasty in Suzhou, the Net Master Garden. Then you will visit the Suzhou Ancient Wall outside from a distance while the guide explains its splendid history for you. It’s one of the few existed city walls built in feudal society in China.
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
PM: After lunch, you will have a short visit to a Silk Market where you will appreciate some fine silk articles, learn about Chinese silk culture, and have the opportunity to purchase some souvenirs. Then drive to the ancient water town – Zhouzhuang, one of the most famous water townships in China. It is not only noted for its breathtaking natural beauty but also its profound cultural background, the well-preserved ancient residential houses, and the strong local colored traditions and customs. A 15-20 minutes cruise by Chinese-style gondola along the canal will be included. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel by 18:00.
