This itinerary will take you to escape the busy downtown to the peaceful countryside – Wuyuan. Wuyuan in Jiangxi is home to the most beautiful village in China. In the spring, the county is a golden sea of rapeseed flowers. In the fall, yellow corn and red peppers dry on the rooftops, creating a unique landscape.
On the 4-day private Wuyuan tour, you will explore the idyllic countryside to explore the ancient buildings of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing dynasties (1636-1912) and take a leisure walk along the babbling streams. Wangxiangu, Wangxian Valley is another fairyland in Jiangxi province included in this trip, just a 2-hour drive from Wuyuan. It is famous for hanging houses on the cliff and rock formations.

Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Wuyuan
Welcome to our 4-day Jiangxi scenic tour to Wuyuan and Wangxian Valley! Upon your arrival in Wuyuan, your private driver will pick you up at the railway station and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Wuyuan is a beautiful county and the rest of the day is free for you to explore on your own.

- Day 2: Wuyuan East Route TourHuizhou Culture, Scenic Villages, and Ancient Architecture
In the morning, meet your tour guide and then head to Jiangwan Scenic Spot. Jiangwan is an ancient village with rich Huizhou cultural heritage. Here you will have a full view of the ancient Huizhou architecture, including the clan temples and memorial halls.
You will then be transferred to Huangling Village, a typical mountain village famous for its spring and fall scenery. If you visit here in spring (March to April), you will see a sea of rape flowers. In the fall (September to November), harvested corn, peppers, and other crops create a gorgeous landscape on the roofs of the village. In addition, you will admire many distinctive ancient buildings.
Dry harvested crops in Wuyuan The next stop is Likeng, an ancient village with a history of nearly 1,000 years. Mountain streams merge into a small river in the village. Stone and wooden arch bridges with different characteristics are built on the river. Enjoy a relaxing walk in this village. Afterwards, you will be escorted to Wunvzhou for an overnight stay. Wunvzhou is characterized by a new style of Huizhou architecture, integrating live performances, cultural attractions, dining and shopping. You can spend a wonderful night here!

- Day 3: Wuyuan North Route Tour to Wangxian ValleyAncient Village Stroll, Historic Buildings, Rainbow Bridge
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to visit Si Xi Yan Village. First built in the Southern Song Dynasty (1199), the village has a history of more than 800 years. The old buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties in the village are paved with green stone slabs with their backs to the green mountains, facing the clear streams and rice paddies. You can take a leisurely stroll here.
Si Xi Yan Village Then, drive to visit a unique ancient corridor bridge, Qinghua Rainbow Bridge. It is about 140 meters long and 3.1 meters wide. The Rainbow Bridge combines well with the surroundings of green mountains, water and ancient villages, making it a landmark of Wuyuan.
After that, we will drive about 2 hours to Wangxian Valley in Shangrao City. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in the ancient town.

- Day 4: Wangxian Valley Tour & DepartureDiscover Natural Landscapes and Hanging Houses
Wangxian Valley is a newly developed and popular tourist attraction that integrates natural landscapes of mountains, streams, and waterfalls as well as folk customs. Surrounded by mountains, this scenic area is famous for its hanging houses, rock formations, and delicious food.
You can enjoy the Wangxian Waterfall, the highest waterfall in the scenic area, with a drop of 120 meters, like a jade belt hanging on the cliff. Wangxian Valley boasts many well-preserved ancient villages, such as Yanpu Ancient Village, where you can see ancient dwellings of Ming and Qing architectural styles. You can also overlook the whole valley from the viewing platform of White Crane Cliff.
