Explore the vibrant city of Chengdu on this 3-day itinerary. Day 1 allows for independent exploration. Day 2 includes a visit to the Leshan Giant Buddha and the Wide and Narrow Alley, followed by a street food tour. Day 3 features a visit to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base and a hands-on cooking experience at the Sichuan Cuisine Museum.   1. Arrive in Chengdu at any time convenient by plane or train, and arrange the transfer to the hotel by yourself.

    You could take a taxi, then check in at the hotel. Today is free for you to explore the city.

  2. After Breakfast, you will be transferred to admire the tallest stone Buddha in the world, Leshan Giant Buddha. It took 90 years for three generations of craftsmen to accomplish this 71-meter-high (233 feet) statue.

    Follow your guide up the mountain to see the amazing 1,051 buns of curly hair on the head of the Buddha. Optional: You can also take a cruise along the river to view the Buddha in the distance.

    Next, come to the Wide and Narrow Alley, where you will have a chance to taste the most authentic local snacks and experience real Chengdu local life.

    For dinner tonight, follow your local guide to discover some of the best street snacks, including Dandan Noodles (with peppery sauce), Zhong Dumplings, Bo Bo Chicken, and other popular snacks. Transfer you back to your hotel after that.

  3. Today, start our panda journey to Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. It is definitely a highlight for most visitors to Chengdu. There are adorable pandas everywhere. You can watch them eating bamboo, playing with each other, and sleeping.

    Your guide will navigate you through the huge area, sharing some information about the pandas, and helping you take amazing photos.

    Afterwards, you are going to be transferred to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum, which includes an Exhibition Hall, Raw Materials Hall, Interactive Hall, and Kitchen God Temple. It's a good platform that spreads the tradition of Sichuan Cuisine culture.

    Experience Food Cooking:

    A skilled chef specializing in Sichuan cuisine will personally instruct you in the art of cooking three traditional Sichuan dishes. During the session, you will acquire valuable hands-on experience in Sichuan culinary techniques, including precise cutting skills, temperature control, and cooking methods. Additionally, the chef will share exclusive tips on food presentation, ensuring your dishes are visually appealing. To conclude the lesson, the chef will assess your creations and demonstrate the proper way to savor authentic Sichuan cuisine. Finally, indulge in the delightful dishes you have prepared.

    After that, your driver will escort you to the airport for your flight home or other destinations.

    * Note: It is recommended that you book a flight home after 7 PM from Shuangliu Airport / a flight after 8 PM from Tianfu Airport. Our drop-off service is only available at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. If you ask us to escort you to Tianfu Airport, there is an extra charge.
