3 Days Huangshan Private Tour with Local Village

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Huangshan Arrival
   Stroll around Tunxi Street to Admire the Huizhou-style Buildings

   Upon your arrival at Huangshan, your local guide will greet you at the exit of the airport/train station by holding a name sign and take you to lunch.

   After lunch, begin your Huangshan tour to Tunxi Ancient Street, the most intact ancient street in China with architectural styles of the Southern Song Dynasty and the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a total length of 1,272 meters. It is surrounded by mountains and waters, consisting of over 300 Huizhou-style buildings, with shops lining both sides of the street. Tourists can taste Huizhou specialty cuisine and gain a deeper understanding of Huizhou culture and history.

2. Day 2: Yellow Mountain Tour
   Hike to Appreciate Pine Trees and Strange Rocks

   Today is all about the Yellow Mountain. Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and drive to the mountain. Upon arrival, we will take a shuttle bus to Cloud Valley Temple and then take a cable car up the mountain.

   After getting off the cable car, start your Yellow Mountain hiking trip. Along the way, appreciate various special shaped pine trees such as Harp Pine and Black Tiger Pine. You will also visit White Goose Ridge and Beginning to Believe Peak.

   Continue hiking to Lion Peak to enjoy the famous Monkey Watching the Sea. As its name suggests, there is a stone here, like a monkey squatting and observing the ups and downs of the sea of clouds. Around 4:00 pm, we start descending the mountain via a cable car.

   After the tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel in the city center.

3. Day 3: Huangshan Village Tour, Departure
   Visit Famous Hongcun or Enjoy a Less-crowded Village

   Meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby in the morning after breakfast and check out as you will leave Huangshan directly after the tour. Please pack your belongings in advance.

   We will visit Hongcun Village today. An outstanding representative of Huizhou architecture, Hongcun Village was listed on the World Cultural Heritage List in 2000. Here, you can see famous scenic spots such as South Lake and Moon Pond, as well as over 140 ancient Ming and Qing dynasty residences. This is an excellent place to experience Huizhou culture and natural beauty.

   In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the train station/airport for your departure train/flight. Our 3-day private Huangshan tour will end here. Wish you a pleasant journey.

   

   Tips:

   Considering Hongcun is very famous, there are many domestic and foreign visitors. If you want a less-visited & crowded village, we can arrange Tangmo Ancient Village or Lingshan Village instead of Hongcun Village for you.

   Tangmo Ancient Village could be dated back to the Tang Dynasty, and its name means "model village of the Tang Dynasty" (Tang refers to the Tang Dynasty, and mo means model in Chinese). Because the village is barely touched by tourist groups, you can have an enjoyable time exploring the village. Learn Rubbing Art from a teacher and try to make a piece by yourself to feel the charm of calligraphy culture.

   Lingshan Village, surrounded by endless bamboo forests, seems far away from the bustling world, and the people here live a simple life. Walking along Water Street, see old residential houses, stone bridges, and even villagers washing their clothes in the river. Lingshan people make full use of abundant bamboo resources. They can make baskets, hats, dustpans, and other things through bamboo weaving.
